I have no idea but Elixuh has been in the black market picture trade for a long time - start with him!

Um, who's pinching and modifying my piccies?
Actually a good question. Looks like they've slightly cropped and darkened your photo. I'm no lawyer (thank goodness) but I guess it brings into question who has the rights to these images... The photographer or the subject. Normally I'd say the photographer by default but perhaps the waters are muddied somewhat by the fact that the players are being photographed while in their place of work and it's not an open training session.

Personally I'm very much on Mr Ripper's side here... As the "player weight" issue has shown in the last day or so, clubs and the AFL will go to any length to avoid giving its key stakeholder (the paying public) any useful information outside of the usual fluff, so these photos are a great resource for what they help us read into things.

Cam is looking like he means business this year.

So, Cam is listed as 186cm, 93kg on the Lion's web page. Looking at Rip's pic there, looks like he has shed about six kilos. So new estimated playing weight would be 87kg. ;)

For the record, I have no problem whatsoever with players using my pictures of themselves. Get pretty ratty when Frankie from Fawkner on Facebook gets light-fingered but.

Mr ripper was ready to throw hands until he learnt that toned and ripped cam rayner took the picture. Smart retreat.

Rumour has it Cam ran 20 km to Ripps house, doing so across four quarters. Elite.

My understanding of taking images of people be they general public or professional athletes.

Children, i suggest you don't take any, unless you have a parent's consent.
At sporting events clubs usually have some policy on this.

General photos of people walking around the city and parks should fine, Stalking aside.

Taking photos of Lions players, on private property should be fine unless the Lions at BHA have a specific ground policy on the matter.
Lions players in public arears should be fine, see general photos of people.

At The Gabba and most likely all other ticketed AFL venues. You can't take a camera & lens bigger than 200mm into the ground.
If you do, and then take photos you could be liable under The Gabba/other venue ground policy.
Phones and cameras with a lens under 200mm should be fine. Assuming security is aware of the policy.

Strangely for Cricket at The Gabba you can, or maybe you can -"For cricket season, lenses with a total-focal strength of greater than 200mm are permitted at the discretion of the venue."

When Mr Ripper takes legal photos (which he does) of Lions players at BHA he owns the license for those photos.
Most people would not have noticed when viewing his images on flikr the " All rights reserved"

Possibly his efforts involved with running that marathon before Christmas may have also contributed.
Yeah I thought the constant jarring of that long run would have to of delayed repair of the shoulder at best. I know it was for cause, a good one, but I think he could have played as big a part in the event without running. Maybe a slip in the medical team to let him.

Big year for him, continued injury and he could be passed. I have no doubt he would be re-signed, but the difference would be as Lester like depth rather than a best 22 lock. If it helps keep Clugg here by any margin it's worth it.

I haven lost faith in him as a player yet. I still think he's best 22 at the moment. Not often his opponent towels him up on the wing. He gets back and supports in defense, can kick a goal from 50 and I think importantly for Fages and the team, he can be given a job on a player and stick to it. He should be hell bent on making up for his shitty gf.

I think we can assume he and the clubs medical staff had discussions about what he would do during the run.

They wouldn’t have let him do anything to impact recovery

He spent time on a bike as well so he didn’t run the whole 42k

Here I am wondering how I had missed all of the discussion about Berry's lousy girlfriend and wondering what she had done to the group as a whole (since he was 'making up for' not 'getting over') then nodded to myself as I realised that it meant Grand Final this time chagrin

Berry could be an interesting one. I think he's mostly been on the wing due to his running power over the years, but maybe with the exit of Gunston he could be an interesting option to trial as our new 3rd tall? Has the height, would bring a great defensive mindset to the forward group and could burn a third tall defender pushing hard towards goal on turnovers with his superior fitness.

100% the person who took the photo owns the photo. The players are in a public place and there is no issue. Being a photographer who has had photos stolen it really comes down to how vigilant you are in protecting them. The real issue is when the person stealing them uses them for commercial intent like in advertising.

Many will recognise this photo, it's one of the most famous photos for copyright legal cases. The monkey stole the camera and took the photo itself and the owner of the camera argued it was their photo where Stock images argued the monkey was the owner.

Did for a couple of games in 2021 IIRC

Attended my first training session this morning.

So here are a few observations.

Not a hell of a lot to report because It wasn’t a particularly long or physical session but it was still quite hot out, especially when the sun was out. The session finished in the rain.

Both Lohmann and Payne did very little to almost nothing and then went for a swim down.
Carter Michael and Dev spent the whole session on the sidelines doing their own programs with no work with the main group at all.
Berry was in and out of the main group maybe dependant on what the group were doing.
Neale did full training for about 3/4 of the session and then topped up with running at the end.
Doedee and Ashy appear to be recovering well. Doedee was a bit like Bez and was a bit with the group and then some rehab stuff on the side.
Ashy has certainly spent some time in the Gym in his extended off season and is looking much more solid than last year. Did a fair bit of running unhindered. Didn’t see him with the main group at all though. Wouldn’t call him a boy anymore.
ZZ and Torrent both have little niggles and just did some handball drills and spent the rest of the session on the bike.

There was one particular drill I saw which seemed to be focusing on fast ball movement and with a quick and flat trajectory of the ball either by hand or foot and putting the ball out in front of the receiving player to run onto.
The coaches were drumming it into them about the quickest path of the ball. Low and flat, no loopy balls.

As has already been discussed, Cam is looking lean and very fit.
Dizzy is in the best shape and doing all of the work for this time of the year for the first time since about his second year at the club I reckon so that is good for his chances early in the season with Doedee not ready until the second half of the year.
Jaspa seems set to go up another level after last year and just looks so smooth with ball in hand.
Logan Morris seemed to be Charlie’s shadow following him around everywhere, like a lost puppy.
Luke Lloyd looks like he has pretty good skills and seems to move really well.
Bruce Reville could be a bit of a dark horse now he is in a full time system, knows where the goals are and works really hard.

It was very slippery and greasy out there, so a lot of fumbled balls and dropped marks as a result, skills as a whole weren’t too bad though.

They all had to top up with some running at the end of the session, just continuous laps around the oval until they had reached the k’s they were allotted for the session.
Some only did one lap and others 4-5 laps. Dependant on how much running they did during the session itself.
