Aboriginal Round

From the moment Joey Johnson took the field for Fitzroy in the early 1900s, he became the standard bearer that created a pathway for future generations of Aboriginal kids. Sir Doug Nicholls, forced from a club that he was training with due to racism, laid the foundations for others, showing his people that grit and determination could overcome the obstacle and pain of racism. We marvelled at Big Polly, one of the Stolen Ones who changed the way the game was played. We saw the Krakouer brothers set Waverley alight, and we looked on in awe at perhaps the greatest of them all, Stephen Michael, oh what could have been. We watched as the Aboriginal players of the 70s and 80s were berated, ridiculed and tormented, yet they still turned up week in and week out to play for their clubs. We were there when Nicky took a stand and said ‘no more’ and Michael made the long walk to ensuring that future generations of Aboriginal players did not have to face the wrath of racists both on and off the field. We hung our heads in shame as a champion was booed from the game. We were blessed to see Buddy, Rioli, Lewis, Goodes, Matera, Wanganeen and so many more champions of the game. So, in this Aboriginal Round, stop and reflect on the great contributions that Aboriginal players have made to the game but take a moment to think about those lost to the game due to racism or a lack of understanding of Aboriginal culture. Think about those that pulled on their jumpers every week knowing the torrent of abuse that was ahead.
So now we turn to Supercoach, and like the great spirit dreaming's, let us dream, dream big, dream high and may all your Supercoach dreams come true this weekend.

I'm getting fed-up with Walsh. Didn't pay $576k for a 99 average. He's got 3 weeks to impress to keep his spot in my side.

I've made my peace with it. Ton up this week, Jordan, and I'll send you flowers upon your departure.
I'm happy bringing Soldo back in if Ken is playing Doctor again and under estimates his readiness for more Sweet action post bye.

Ed Richards looked unreal last night. Was set for a huge 140+ it seemed. I had him in my team at least 3 times this week, only to go the safer option in Houston. Lucky in the end, but I will 100% be adding Richards when he is back from concussion.
Does anyone know where Ed is tracking re getting DPP?

I have a feeling they might play Libba across HB/Wing I doubt he will play inside mid this year.

Surely even Bevo wouldn't play Libba on the wing? What's the point?

Yeah he’s surely either inside mid or playing VFL, he’s slow and can’t kick it over 40 metres.

can't see Libba being played at half back or wing.

He might be played as a defensive forward to an extent, but if he's right to go then there is no reason not to be playing him inside mid. If they are worried about further head knocks then he doesn't play at all.

My horrid year continues.

Had to reverse my Bont trade because Roberts was made sub. So no Bont. Got Jack Sinclair instead - he won't be beating Bont's score.

Adams has been a shocking trade in. Possibly my worst ever. Darcy decides to have a quiet one the one game he is a POD for me.

VC on English. Say less.

Gulden only positive from last night.

Oh well.

I got a similar issue.
Do i trade Rankine to Zorko and field Mannagh to get Freijah over Sexton.
Or leave as is and have Frieijah covering Rank and hold for a few weeks…

I wouldn’t be sitting on Rank for a month or 5 weeks (inc Crows bye) if he misses next 4 & relying on Freijah to cover his pts. Get Zorko in & be done with it.

It is okay, we just need him to peak during the byes for coverage

I traded Adams in too, but thankfully traded his arse out a couple of weeks ago. He just can't get his hands on the footy with Heeney, Gulden and Warner dominating around him. His role doesn't look terrible but sure as hell does.

2/229 from Bont and Heeney last night

Had Heeney as VC, so I'll be relying on Serong to beat his 94 tonight which is likely, also had Darcy looped on the bench so hopefully richards can beat his 42 at a minimum but I'm hoping for closer to 70

Have only made the one trade so far, but don't think I'll be bringing anyone other than Richards in from tonight's game, so tonight I'll have
Serong C
Young
Jackson
Naicos
Richards
And Draper on the bench unless I decide to trade him to a better investment like a pyramid scheme or an NFT

SC Gods now have Thought Police powers.

I was feeling very smug at half time last night about bringing Ranga Richards last week.
