sure, tuohy (the fk u spell that name?) might just be dramatizing a simple message to think and eat more professionally, but at the same time success doesn't equate to morality, clarkson is a perfect exampleDon’t believe everything you read…He was director of coaching at the biggest club so he must have something going for him
Who actually reads these players autobiographies? I've received both Rob Harvey and Nick Riewoldts books as gift (2 of my favourite players of all time) and I barely read 10 pages. They're all the same crap, a few semi decent footy stories and a few chapters about growing up, loving footy and getting into a bit of trouble. YawnHis book's just being released and he's trying to drum up sales before it meets the inevitable fate
I read Harvey's when I was 11 and I quite liked itWho actually reads these players autobiographies? You should probably read Riewoldt's. It goes heavily into the schoolgirl scandal and his sister as well. Was a big insight.Who actually reads these players autobiographies? I'm sure he would have learnt a lot from being a senior coach, and would probably operate differently.Yep same.
Only positive could be that he's not in charge and that maybe he's actually good at the tactical side of things. If that's the case his communication should not be an issue.
Short breadSurely he gets a new nick name 'biscuits'.
Aren’t there biscuits called Napoleons?Short bread
Are they a short style biscuit Diehard?Aren’t there biscuits called Napoleons?
it really does? if so yuckYou should probably read Riewoldt's. It goes heavily into the schoolgirl scandal and his sister as well. Was a big insight.
I listened to the audio book of Roo's book. Was a bit weird to hear another bloke reading all his stories, but the book was OK. As the other poster said, lots of stuff about the dramas of his time with us, of which there were many.Who actually reads these players autobiographies? Huh? He talks about how the fallout from that issue, which didn't even directly involved him at all seriously impacted his life as a player and as a leader of the club. Getting abused in public, it dropping just as he was dating Kath etc.. and how it seriously made him contemplate whether continuing with football was worth it.it really does? if so yuck
90% of the footy media just get off on laying the boot into us.Just listened to the AFL Daily they did on the Saints today. Jeez Barrett and Nat Edwards are such a pair of downers. Funniest part was they describe Jack Macrae as a "solid player" at the Bulldogs. The guy is a three time AA ffs.
Honestly Damo is basically unlistenable when it comes to the Saints. Genuinely clueless.
You tend to get all the interesting stories leaked to the media before the books release, anyway.Who actually reads these players autobiographies? I don't mind when they've done some research because there have been legit things to question but it's the uneducated gross that pisses me off no end.
Barrett can go and kick rocks. Flog of a human

When he says he doesn't subscribe to teams that win games late in the season, when finals are no longer a factor, effectively disrespects all teams, because it pays no respect to our opponents who were in finals contention in the most evenly contested season in years where all wins were extremely valuable.Honestly, it is 10 minutes I will never get back. I’ve unsubscribed them.
Gloomy. Negative. Pessimistic. Talking the team down. Barrett facetiously reiterating the unfairness of getting pick 8 for Battle and sarcastically suggesting how Saints fans always jump to the club’s defence.
Barrett, being the oracle of achievement that he is, basically said St Kilda winning 6 of the last 9 games was meaningless. Despite the club defeating Sydney, Geelong and Carlton on the way home.
Barrett even questioned Lyon and Basset’s tenure going forward. Absolute drivel.
It was a rather pathetic effort. If I was describing the attitude they BOTH had towards the club the word I would use is contemptuous.

It's like they basically didn't do an ounce of research for it and just thought they'd do a ten minute segment bagging us out for no reason. You could have just taken sound bites from stuff he's said before and saved the time and effort.Honestly, it is 10 minutes I will never get back. I’ve unsubscribed them.
