Interesting line this. Got a number of guys that have injury affected averages.

Rozee, Taranto, Day & Green.

Then guys with more serious injuries/issues.

Petracca, Oliver, Docherty.

On top of that you've got the best rookies here.

Ashcroft, Smith, Draper and probably Smillie and then role dependent Lalor, FOS, Langford & Lindsay.

So many names and that's without going for an uber priced guy at M1.

Interestingly top price is 110, there were no 115-120+ averages.

Daicos seems to be value, he will have some mids alongside him to protect him again this year.
Taranto if he stays fit could be this years version of 2021 Miller/Steele, the do do everything mid in a poor side.
Been some talk of Merrett and Shiel training at half back? If so Parish could be an option, priced at 91.6 is pretty good value.
Green at 99.9? thats crazy good.
JDG at 80 is value if he can stay fit.
Clarry obviously at 77 lol.
Day priced at 74
Cerra at 72 looks good if fit.

Early days but so much value in the middle

Docherty in the 70s as well if we can trust him to get his body right.
Still only 31, but has been through a bit.

Query on the other game (Supercoach). My understanding is their pricing is just last years average with the same discounts applied (AFL Fantasy is discount applied to the higher of the last 2 years). Does this mean that Docherty is priced at his one game last year of 45 + a 27% discount = Priced at 32 in Supercoach. Surely he's not rookie priced in that game ?

I dunno exactly how the supercoach pricing works, but it sounds like hes being talked up as a mid-pricer in that game. Sounds like its similar to what we do in fantasy

How much danger is there of Hayden Young being moved around? I'm quite keen on him if he's a permanent mid.
What do you think he can average potentially?

Most people (outside of fantasy) would say he had a breakout year last year, and he still only averaged 92. Thing is he is a pretty damaging player, so I dont know if teams will be that willing to let him get 30+ regularly like they do with Brayshaw and Serong.

I don't have his TOG stats on hand but I remember him spending a lot of time on the bench last year, so I thought maybe with increased fitness/TOG, plus disregarding the 37 aberration, he could do 100. And he has a good bye, whereas most others around his price range have an early bye or are inferior options in general.

Freo appeared to love having him drive forward in the back half of last season, and they also have Bolton now to fill that role. Be interesting to see how they use him, and whether it's a little more for the mid defensive role. They have an embarrassment of riches, and I'm hoping it brings Serong a little more into his own this season.

Fyfe and Walters both with knee surgeries adds to the intrigue I reckon - with both perhaps struggling off the back of that.
