My 2024 membership auto-renewed this morning. Wth I never agreed to auto-renewal.

Happened to me a fortnight ago also. Of course I was going to renew as always, but on my terms regarding processing my payment when I was ready to.

You had to opt-out by either by calling the club or through your online CFC account.

Yep, did this last year, so does this mean you must annually update your payment preferences?

In you case, i'm not sure, i'd suggest either check your online CFC account or call the club.

Given that all clubs get a GF allocation (obviously the playing clubs get more) it might work out cheaper and easier to get a guaranteed GF ticket if you take out a Suns or GWS membership.

Those tickets all go to corporates/club officials don't they?
I've never heard of standard members buying gf tickets that way.

Pretty sure I’ve seen Collingwood offer it (when we aren’t playing). Can’t remember exactly how much it was - it wasn’t cheap - but likely cheaper than a Legends membership, and other clubs may be cheaper.

They just gave memberships a price hike off the back of making millions off premiership merchandise

But they can’t include a cheap cap that’s been included in the past?

I'm an AFL member.

The highlight of the rubbish membership box I receive every year is the sticker on the box that says No Cap.

Always wondered why they couldn't put stickers on the box that says Cap.

Always seemed dumb and insulting.

I called because I wanted to change my membership type and pay when I was ready. They did reimbursement.... Then it auto-charged again the next day

Looked up interstate memberships and once again WA sold out.

$195, If I could get it it'd be worth it but nup, 5 games a reserved seat at Optus.

The price you pay for being a fan of the highest profile club in the land.

I can’t get to the games anymore because of my health but I still want to support the club and keep my 40+ years of membership going. The insider membership is just really a donation which is a membership with the scarf etc no games. The Kayo digital insider is a discounted Kayo subscription with your membership so you can watch all our games. It’s great for me, I still get to be a member and get discounted Kayo which I would be paying full price for so it’s a great option.
I’d rather be at the games but since I can’t, this works for me.

Soz for the late reply, the digital insider is $260, normal kayo is $360. Good value!

Was wanting the interstater but WA is sold out - again.

If I buy this do I have to cancel my current subscription with Kayo? Or do the club and kayo automatically switch it over?

The club gives you a code which you put into your Kayo account and when the next payment is due for your subscription it’s covered by your membership. You keep your normal account just the payment is different. Kayo do this a lot. My first year with Kayo was free as it was part of switching energy companies. I’ve never paid full price for Kayo.

The club gives you a code which you put into your Kayo account and when the next payment is due for your subscription it’s covered by your membership. You keep your normal account just the payment is different. Kayo do this a lot. My first year with Kayo was free as it was part of switching energy companies. I’ve never paid full price for Kayo.

I do this as well. Plus I enjoy going to different games, and mum doesn't, so I use afl to hang out with friends, watch stress-free footy.

If you join the WA magpies, you might get access to one of these early on.

I dont think it's worth the $195. I bought a ticket on the wing this year with access to bars behind me and food. About $200. I dont think these are available most years but with the beagles in a hole, the beagle members have fired up their caravans and gone bush....

I only have AFL Gold now but maybe Jen2310 can help out with this. With all this new pricing my previous cost is probably redundant.

I believe you'll need to cancel your subscription in March when they give you the code. It's what I may consider getting next year.

Kayo is terrible but it's about the only option you have if you want to watch games legally.

I won't answer for Jen, but it was the guarantee of a GF ticket with the Legends' membership until reaching AFL Gold and a guaranteed GF seat. We dropped the Legends' memberships we had for 15 years once reaching AFL Gold as our finances dictated.
