No you don't. I'm pretty sure we have all heard enough from you and your absurd posts about the AFLW competition.

You don't have to like it, which is to your detriment, but equally you don't have to constantly complain about it. Please just refrain from posting on the AFLW competition/our wonderful team.

I for one, loved every moment of our team winning every game bar one, creating history in the process, being the first team in VFL/AFL/AFLW history to achieve that feat.

At long last, a new Premiership Cup at Arden street, something I was beginning to think might never happen again in my lifetime.

The only downside for me was that I had to watch it from a hospital bed, but otherwise wonderful memories.

Hopefully we go back to back this year and maybe I'll still be around to see it in person

It's a perfectly reasonable discussion that nobody is having. You may not like that way that some people discuss it but the conversation needs to be had.

During Covid the AFL slashed the budget for off field spending for each club. Conveniently at the same time the AFLW went on a massive expansion bringing the number of clubs into line with the AFL competition despite the existing competition, already majority funded by the men's league, not being able to justify the additional costs.

Since that time the AFL business as a whole has grown after the loss of the Covid years including revenue and profit, but the shortfall in off field spending for AFL clubs has not been brought back to pre-covid levels let alone grown along side the cost of living and CPI increases.

In laymen's terms Coaches, Assistant coaches, development coaches, Medical staff, psychologists and peripheral staffing within the AFL system have all had their wages frozen, AFL players have had reduced access to development, support and welfare as a direct result of money generated by the AFL system being diverted to cover the cost of the AFLW. Without the consent of supporters.

I enjoyed the AFLW flag far more than I thought I would have. I watched more AFLW games this season by well over 1000% but I do not want another cent spent from my membership, merchandise and game day spending spent on the AFLW team at the expense of the men's team. That's a perfectly reasonable stance to have that is not based in gender bias.

The key point to all this, is without the men’s league, a national women’s league would be defunct after one season.

As would all of the female leagues of various other sports.

No you're missing the point.

The ALF off field budget should be restored to it's previous cap with inflationary and CPI included in perpetuity and additional spending on AFLW should be disclosed as a separate levy or optional spend / tax for every AFL member for every club on memberships, merchandise and tickets.

Whether or not the AFLW would survive without subsidisation is not for you or me to decide. And if they can't, which seems to be the case, what you and I are contributing as owners of the AFL membership system needs to be transparent and ideally optional.

It's a fact that without women; yep that group that contribute roughly 40% of match attendances and eyeballs, the men's competition would not have the gate receipt and TV rights monies it has now.

Most successful businesses, if that's what we're reducing the debate down to, have profitable elements which subsidise less profitable elements.

Any net losses that derive from sponsoring the women's game is far outweighed by keeping roughly 50% of your potential client base engaged in your product.

It's a no brainer.

Ahhh i miss training updates
I’m here today and here’s the skinny.

Fish has come back in prime condition this year, only 12 kilos overweight.. the offseason diet of Gin & Soda’s has been working wonders.

Baily Scott has been tearing it up on the track with a model looking PT running partner that he bonks occasionally whilst running past (not attending) as many KFC’s and Hungry Jacks as his Google Maps will fit into 15 square kilometres. FWIW Harley Reid spotted dining in two of the HJ stores on the same day.. (he owns them).

Joe Rogan has been seen at Arden Street recently, apparently he’s been up close and personal with the boys but word is he says f-all and is really, really short..

Ferball is 6’8.

Not sure if CCj is back into full contact yet but I do know he cost us a 2nd rounder.

I’ll flick through further updates as they develop..

That's not correct, the first two expansions were pre-covid, the final expansion was post.

Have the people who run the AFL had, in laymen's terms, their wages frozen?

No point. They’re all in their own bubble.

They think the AFLW is some powerhouse competition that will save North from extinction when in fact its arguably having the opposite impact.

Let them enjoy their flag. Means nothing to me and the majority of North supporters, dont let facts get in the way of their happiness.

You’ll end up being labelled an incel, likened to those of human traffickers, they’ll come after your family members, label you a misogynist etc

You could pretty much say that any parallel business innovation without the revenue of the original, established concept would fail.
