So you got nothing? Don't know the wages of "Coaches, Assistant coaches, development coaches, Medical staff, psychologists and peripheral staffing" in 2019 and what they will be in 2025? Do you even know how much "money generated by the AFL system" has been "diverted to cover the cost of the AFLW"?

The word "system" is interesting. If the AFL is a "system", then surely the AFLW is part of that system? I take it you also have the view that equalisation payments are a diversion of the profits generated by the likes of Collingwood, West Coast and * to the battler welfare clubs like North, Dogs and Saints?

That would be ideal except old mate got laughed out of the AFLW thread for spinning his fact-free nonsense so he's shopping for fellow misogynistic conspiracy theorists wherever he can find them. Caleb is bog so far and worth every bit of pick 25

And Lmac is still not fit enough to wear a NMFC jumper, let alone with the number 11 on his back and be co-captain.

17 other clubs have all line coaches plus a senior assistant. By not having a full complement of coaches, we are behind the 8 ball straight up.

Why. Someone tell me why? And people cannot say “Clarko is on a million” that doesn’t cut the mustard, he isn’t the only coach on that coin.

It's equal parts amusing and sad how the success of the womens team seems to be sending DuckYeah down the exact same spiral as Tef, the detached apathy increasingly becoming resentment and anger as they try to rationalise the underperformance of the men. Quite uncanny really.

It's not just coaches and assistant coaches that go into the soft cap. If that's your base of measurement than your last 3 days of ranting has is not really based on much.

For the sake of this thread I reckon we all know where you stand now so is it possible to leave it or maybe start another thread about NM capital allocation/sack the Pres and CEO and you can have fun in there?

You are infuriatingly vague.

You and Harvey Manfrenjensenden make statements that you very much claim to be factual and objective. But when asked for the evidence that makes those statements objective and factual, you do not seem to have much.

I don't need empirical evidence to support a statement like "I love the AFLW and seeing North successful in it makes me happy". It's an opinion, entirely subjective. It's my opinion and I would go so far as to say, I am prepared to sacrifice some of the men's AFL budget to achieve it.

I am entirely happy for you to have the opinion that none of the men's budget should be sacrificed for the AFLW, and I think it is reasonable and understandable. I am also interested in the way the world works, and whether North Melbourne actually would do this and to what extent. And whether, as Harvey asserts, the AFL actually do this as an organisation. But so far nobody has been able to demonstrate to me that it has ever happened.

The AFL is a gigantic money-making exercise, tied up with cultural and historical phenomena. People are always bemoaning changes to the game, but in reality they are just reflecting the bare realities of being a human being who ages, matures, changes, whatever verb you choose, over the course of about 80 years. How often do people really reflect on what it would have been like to be a spectator or player in a football game in 1950 or 1910 or 1869?

You compare AFLW with the likes of Deer Park as if this is somehow relevant. Football developed in a cultural environment where the idea of women playing was utterly unfathomable for part of the time, then a weird oddity that of course should be allowed, but would never become anything. In terms of gestational periods of organised club play to television coverage of an elite league, you could perhaps say the men's version took a century from 1877 to 1977, while the timespan for women's football is one-third the time, 1981-2017.

Why does it matter if in your view there is insufficient talent to support a viable elite product? Thousands of people disagree. AFLW arose in a time when the cultural norm was for Australians to spend thousands of their hard-earned dollars on supporting and spectating elite sportspeople do their stuff, for some sort of pleasure or pain. Of course it is going to happen, you're bloody Canute and the tide.

Anyway, I seem to have got distracted trying to understand your psychology. You're not a bloody idiot, I remember your posts from a few years ago. I don't care what ferball says, Tef was a complete ****ing idiot. I guess that's not fair, but at a certain point you do have to move past the disadvantages and social conditioning of your upbringing. He had the wherewithal to post coherently on here, he should have had the wherewithal to reflect on the world and what it means to be a human being. Shit, distracted again. Anyway, at first I thought you were just putting on an act, some sort of weird ultra-negativity about North that you were doing in the hope of a reverse jinx. I'll tell you why the W program is much better. My man Flynn Loft is trading in AA players in positions of need and drafting non-mids with high picks. Meanwhile old mate Rawling is overpaying for experienced types and then overpaying in draft capital.
