Ignoring stats, the eye test says that McKercher, Sheezel, Daniel and Powell all above average disposal by foot. Probably make a case for a half dozen others but those four immediately stand out to me.
Curtis has some of the best field kicking in the team.

Corr and Logue are actually great kicks in the back half of the ground. The pressure they find themselves under inflates the perception of them being average. But given the same space as the above, they are reliable.

Parker is a reliable kick. So is Phillips.

Yeah, our drafting and list management comes under a bit of criticism here (lol) but I think it is fair to say we absolutely nailed this pick.

hmmmmm, I'm as happy as any to have Powell on our list but that pick came at the expense of trading out of the previous draft that would've netted us Caleb Serong, Sam Flanders or Kozzie Pickett.

Nah. AFL Academy chose where the players get to train on at.
So the AFL can have a centralised academy when it wants to?

Just not in the northern states…

Careful mate.. everyone round here thinks we have a team of A class ball users. We have exactly 3 players that have above average disposal by foot (best 18 players).

No one send me the afl stats for averages, efficiency stats are compromised.
Literally nobody has said that.
I do however remember you banging on & on & on about Kerch being a shit kick before we drafted him. Terrible call.

Trading the pick is a whole other argument, but Powell at 13 was a great pick for the list build, especially in that COVID draft.

You don't stick your best mid, who has a thirst for the contest on the wing. It's ridiculous.
He's one of the best kicks in the game. Definitely don't have a problem with him receiving on the outside and delivering into fifty or linking play from the backline to the forwards. Schwatta was one of our best and he owned the wing.

Do you think Powell has the potential to be equal to any of those players? Considering he is one year behind them in development. Also, it has been mentioned we were interested in Flanders.

7/10 kick. He’s good for 35/40m. He’s not Nick Daicos level of kicking a footy, which everyone round here makes him out to be.

Hahaha!!
You’ve certainly changed your tune.
It used to be his kicking was garbage, trash, awful, ****ing butcher, turnover merchant, hack & shit kick who you don’t want anywhere near our club.
Your words, not mine.
I was half right

People bang on about us missing in this draft, but so did a lot of other teams. I think it was fine as there was limited data and so they hedged on two similar types in the top 15, hoping at least one would turn out great and the other OK.

Yep agree with all that except maybe Logue who I think is pretty average by foot and isn’t particularly reliable for mine as I’ve seen him turnover a few times without any pressure.

I’d be tempted to add Fisher to the mix as a damaging kick. He does run himself into trouble at times though.

I’d add also that Tucker is a reliable kick.

Agree on Tucker.

9 times out of 10 he'll hit a target 40 metres away.
