People pigeonholing Pedlar as a FWD, made the same mistake with Rankine .....Pedlars pressure on the ball & ball carrier is deserved of greater midfield time

So does about 10 other players on this team and there are only 5 inside midfield slots at most that pick up decent midfield time. Right now, there is no point whatsoever in talking about Pedlar deserving midfield time. Pedlar isn't even holding a best 22 slot currently and needs to get back to being that 25 goal a year forward we had in 2023.

Rubbish !!

Just shows you can't spot talent unless it hits you between the eyes .....guess you hold the same thought process on Draper, given you only have U18 form to go by .....these are nuffie observations

Pedlar got dropped before getting injured. Saying he isn't holding a best 22 spot is just a fundamentally correct observation going off what happened in 2024.

ehh its pre season. Nicks would have an idea on his best 23 at this stage but nothing set in stone. Every player will be given every opportunity to prove their value in february and march as the matches start. Cook, Edwards and Ryan could all make huge claims for round 1 too. we just never know.

Bloody hell we really do have some talent running around now don't we. Zero point zero excuses next year M. Nicks.
Apparently we're able to comment on the talent of individual players .....but if you comment on the sum of all the parts, and say it's our best list ever ....well, I won't rehash old ground

Suffice to say ....yes, we've had better star players at the pointy end, however not to quote the recent draft ....we've never batted this deep with talent

I keep getting told ..."we're a bottom 4 team" ....we've achieved nothing"

So if you're able to project the career prospects of Draper, and Thilthorpe .....logic dictates you can extend that projection to the whole list

No-ones actually refuted my list, other than using games played as the criteria ....which makes Murphy. Mackay, and Doughty champions (LOL)

Whats does talent, without say, application, self confidence, discipline or poor instruction ammount to?

You can have as many naturally talented guys I,e Pedlar,Cook,Taylor on a list as there are spots, but if they arent able to exhibit more than just raw talent, your list is nothing more than potential.

22 Liam Jurrahs arent winning you a flag.

Funny that you backtracked from best list to one of the best lists, now you’re back to saying it’s the best list.

You keep getting told we are a bottom 4 team, we’ve achieved nothing, quotes? Have those quotes said we were a bottom 4 team or we will be one in 2025?

No one refuted your list and used games played? Reckon Scorpus would have something to say about that given he gave you a heap of info like AA recognition etc.

This post is just a classic Waynism, full of bullshit statements that you’ll just slink away from when it’s been exposed as bullshit.

I think you threw a bunch of words in the post for dramatic effect .....oh, and spelling doesn't help

I've been saying what you're trying to say for decades ....talent without hard work = delisting

But you, Golumless , and Mostyn confuse one bad PS which then catapulted into shoulder problems as an indication of lack of hard work
You've also dovetailed the groin issues, to make the issue larger than what it is

For starters, Pedlar has never suffered from lack of self-confidence ....supply evidence
And WTF is poor instruction all about ....did you just invent that for effect ?

If I were a betting man, it would be like shelling peas with you guys

Youve called it our best list ever.
Stick with an argument for once.
Nothing I've said has contradicted what I've said about the list .....in fact my Pedlar comments enhances my comments

You conflate talent with being deserving of a spot in the lineup/midfield minutes.

Im not denying the kids talent. I dont think anyone is.

I cant spell - you cant logic. Lose/lose.

Maybe poor instruction was Nicks brain fart to play defensively on Stewart.

I can’t recall us ever having a list where I’m going to struggle to find a whipping boy assuming Murphy is booted out of the 23.

I’ve been watching a few replays over the past week. Enough time has passed since the end of season that I can bring myself to watch them.

The reports on here of Taylor struggling with his running again are a real concern. Watching the swans game and he is a one touch player in traffic (apart from the one sitter he dropped). He clearly has amazing ball handling skills and can pick out a team mate in traffic beautifully. But if he can’t get his fitness up then it’s lights out for his career.

I watched another game McHenry played and he fumbled everything and butchered the ball again and again. It is so stark in hindsight that our selectors need to do better. Just horrible judges of talent to keep giving that guy games. And to be honest, you didn’t even need hindsight.
