My only thought, whilst watching these training sessions in my hammock with an ice cold beer... was WHY would anyone choose to be a professional athlete?First week of pre-season | Inside Sydney

I remember running as a 15-18 year old, I would get home from school, pour some food in and run. I would take the hilliest course and sometimes I would keep running. I had targets. If I exceeded them I went further. Sometimes I was like on a cloud and I could just keep running. It was unreal. I ran 50+ K easily. Sometimes twice a week. It felt like my feet did not even touch the ground sometimes.Dopamine response
When you do something enough and you are good at it, at a certain point you don't feel dead after training you feel exceptional, on top of the world and happy.
The issues are the mental reliance on it and injuries
Montana is doing Sports Physio at Uni so perhaps she intends to work in the area and is getting some field experience?Loved the Inside Sydney Episode 1 video.
Who was that wearing Robbo out? I'm thinking it was Paton. In which case we don't know about his pace but he's certainly returned in shape.
Loved Corey's hanger on Coxy.
Noticed that Montana Ham was there in numerous scenes - is that a form of employment for her or a development opportunity?
Also who are those two players at 6:03 in the video (on either side of Blakey)? VFL players? Academy?
There are a couple of fleeting glimpses that I think are HanilyCan anyone spot Hanily there? He's in 1st (2nd?) year, so should be there.
Hope he pushes hard for a small forward spot so that the Match Committee has difficult decisions to make. There are a couple of fleeting glimpses that I think are Hanily
- halfway through the Bowman interview, the player who walks behind and pairs up with Buller
- at about 2 mins 30, the player who walks behind Sheldrick while he is dousing himself with water
- immediately after the footage of the Longmire announcement, when they switch to Mark McVeigh instructing a line of players, he's near the left-hand end of the line, next to Snell
Yes, all players are back this Monday.Normally there is a two week gap between the return of the 1st-4th year players and the return of the rest of the group - but are the rest of the players due to return this Monday?

Good to see Buller back in training proper.
Heeney running on the sidelines by the looks of it.
I hoped to go and check training out yesterday but it didn't work out. Not sure I'll get the chance in the week ahead but should be able to go on Friday 13th if not sooner.
Does anyone know when the players will break for Christmas? Will it be the 20th? Or sooner?
I wonder how big is this "rehab group" is?Top-notch engagement-farming by McKirdy there.
"Full squad is there but I'll mention the guy trending on Twitter last week."
I guess we await McKirdy's usual write-ups, which proved to be insightful last year.I wonder how big is this "rehab group" is?
Rowbottom, Jordon and I can't make out the third.I wonder how big is this "rehab group" is?
I think it's the full team of blokes & coaches responsible for the last Saturday in September game.I wonder how big is this "rehab group" is?
