Bice will definitely play hb imo.Bice to half back and Mills into the mid's? Heeney forward more maybe?
Why?
What are our thoughts on Parish?
Priced at 89 can go 110 but no idea
Thinking of starting him, Oliver and
Ashcroft so i can bat 4 premos deep in def (counting Mills).
Will Day another sub $500k option.
If you are taking Ashcroft you would argue Parish is better value.
I would go Day over Parish. Just think Parish is a calf injury waiting to happen. At some point Essendon will have to put a line through him imo. It may have already happened. If you are taking Ashcroft you would argue Parish is better value.
Yeah fair call. Day misses a lot of games too though. Weighing up those two, but probs change my whole structure tomorrow anyway… haha!I would go Day over Parish. I’m a bit sceptical on Parish, he can’t play any other role than attacking midfielder, his defensive role there needs to be improved. What are our thoughts on Parish?

Parish is ALWAYS an option if fit and durableI’m a bit sceptical on Parish, he can’t play any other role than attacking midfielder, his defensive role there needs to be improved.
What does the Bombers do with players next in line who could or should be playing in the guts and what they offer over Parish.
List goes deep.
Durham - better burst player.
McGrath - better defensively and has a bigger tank.
Settergoat - we need bigger bodied guys to compete with most teams and he can’t play any tag.
Hobbs - how long do we wait to give him a good run at playing midfield.
Tsatas - put back last year to the VFL and put up good numbers, has his disposals improved??
Archie Perkins - has better core strength than Parish and should be fighting for a midfielders spot.
Nic Martin - this guy can do anything what do the Bombers do with him?
Zach Merret - it must have been April Fools day when some news article cam out suggesting our captain and best ball user may spend less time in the Midfield.
The there is Shiel - what do we do with Shiel??
So on Parish it really depends on if he can improve or get back to a 30 touch impact guy, learn to be more team oriented and less selfish and fits the structure and growth of team without costing the growth of the younger guys getting their slice of the pie.
Extremely late reply but I started last year with 13 round 0 players and despite finishing the year 700ish due to bad trades, I was top 100 or thereabouts for most the season and 13 round 0 players didn’t set me back at all.Good point. You still need to be mindful of who you take, you don't want to completely cripple your team for that early round, but if you spread it out over the 8 teams, then you're fine.
Also depends on team structure. If you're going full GnR with mostly top line premos, a few value picks, then rookies, yeah, you're right, you'd be screwed. But if you're going with more of a MPM approach, very few top line premos, lots of underpriced premos and value picks, then you can afford to do it more because you'll have less rookies on-field.
Just looked at my starting side, last year I had 12/30 rd0 players in my starting side. Not sure if that's a lot compared to others (would be interesting to compare). From memory, having lots of rd0 didn't hurt me early on. It was more about the players I chose/didn't chose than then the rd0 factor.
Obviously way too early to mean anything because it includes random rookies, but my current team has 13/31 rd0 players, 7 with the rd3 bye.

We will trade him to you for LDU at the end of the year.Fair call.
I would have a fit Parish onball ahead of all of them bar Merrett.
Be interesting to see what they do with Martin this year. Definitely worth a bit more of a run in there.
Haha! I pray this does not happen and LDU stays. We will trade him to you for LDU at the end of the year.
See how that made you feel.Haha! I pray this does not happen and LDU stays.
I just rate LDU higher pretty clearly.See how that made you feel.
That is exactly how the Bombers feel about him.
He is a very good player but what does he add to the side??
Or
Have there been games since he won the Anzac Day Medal that he has cost the side a victory.
Its great to look at his stats but if his direct opponents are more damaging then something is wrong.
I don’t know for sure but have a feeling he was shopped around last trade period but we couldn’t get deals done with the target players we were after.
Haha, god i hope you are wrong! Reckon he will resign early this year, but time will tell.LDU's a sainter next year
so let it be written so let it be done
You sure about that mate??Haha, god i hope you are wrong! Reckon he will resign early this year, but time will tell.
Re-sign meh whatever ha lazy typingYou sure about that mate??
We are getting off the point here.I just rate LDU higher pretty clearly.
Normally I wouldn't give a shite but when the meaning is so different, it always gives me a lol.Re-sign meh whatever ha lazy typing
Mcgrath HBWe are getting off the point here.
I wrote the list of players who could and maybe should be ahead of Parish in the Midfield.
For the future of the Bombers the younger guys need time in there as a priority, not giving them Half Back/Fwd or Wing roles.
My order of starting midfielders at Easendon goes
1. Merret
2. Durham
3. McGrath
4. Caldwell (tagger)
5. Martin
6. Perkins/Hobbs/Tsatas (equal pegging)
7. Parish
8. Shiel
9. Settergoat. (To tag against the monsters like Bont and Cripps)
Just my list for the future of the team.
Its the small thingsNormally I wouldn't give a shite but when the meaning is so different, it always gives me a lol.
Apparently it's how I get my jollies these days now I'm a middle aged man with two kids.
