I don't care when it starts on TV. C7 can go and get *****.
I've got Episodes 1-21 at home (Season 5) waiting to be watched. Finale of Episodes 23 & 24 airs in a few weeks, in the States.
Haven't watched it (24) yet because I've still got the last 7 episodes of Invasion to watch. Another show that C9 (this time) was publicising more than my Grandma changes her undies over summer. "Did you see the lights?"
So I had a gutful of C9 as well and grabbed that series too. C9, you can go and get ***** as well.
I'll tell ya what 24 Season 5 is like in a month, when I've watched it.

If it didn't rate, it didn't rate. It's hardly their fault. They're not going to persist with a show that isn't rating, regardless of how much you enjoyed it.

and then from March 06, nothing..... absolutely no word from them.
Episode 22 (Final of Season 1) screened in the States, a week ago.
And then it got the chop... axed. No renewal for Season 2 as the ratings weren't good enough. Fair enough, can't argue with that. However, Commander in Chief got the same big promo on C7 over Summer, and when it came time to Premiere it, it was apparent that it too would get the axe (which it did). C7 went ahead with Commander, 9 didn't with Invasion.
If you think that's bad (the axing of Invasion) have a listen to another series. I'm running out of shows to watch so I start grabbing Heist and Thief. Heist got the chop once Episode 5 premiered, and they didn't even bother telecasting Episode 6 on TV. Thats it, all done and finished.
Thief was also only 6 episodes (at least they showed all 6).... and thats it... no 2nd season renewal.
Yeah but they advertised it like the proverbial ***** in the Summer months. I'd see the ads 5+ time a day, every day.....Crosby87 said:

I don't know for a fact (about 24), just a gut feeling.
To answer your question... I'd say Septemberish.... when there's no more Prison Break and Lost. <Cough> whilst Oz FTA is on a hiatus for these shows, returning March 07, I'll be watching Lost Season 3 and Prison Break Season 2 in Sep 06.East33 said:

And a heads up, you can watch the 1st ep of the season on www.myspace.com/burgerking . Well that's what the ad on TV said. You might be able to watch all of the episodes.

I suspect it'll go 9:30 Wednesday but I don't think they're stupid enough to launch it until Origin's over and it doesn't get interrupted every 3 weeks.

Rather than being an out and out Sci-Fi show, it was more of a Drama based show with a tiny element (or hint of) Sci-Fi. i.e. it hints at more than it shows.
Most similar to Surface in the sense that it was not quite mainstream enough and at it just narrowly missed having the "IT" quality.
I enjoyed it, but its not a show that you just "can't wait for next week". More of a filling in / passing the time. I'm still glad I watched it. It developed the Human side of the show, brilliantly, but that was its downfall as well, it moved too slowly in plot development.
I'd rate it a 5.5 / 10 (and I'm hard on my ratings).

Bad News, fans. ABC in the USA cancelled the show due to low ratings last week.

Yeah, the first 4 episodes was like a self contained movie. My jaw was on the floor and it never came back up. Very smart move by the creators. It totally rejuvanated the series.
This season is my favourite ever. Can't remember many lull points at all.

Yeah but commander and cheif still got/gets half decent ratings now. Invasion was far down and what the advertising would suggest it should be.
