Does anybody know when Channel 7 will be showing/ if they are the new Series of 24.

Looks like one of the best.

Knowing free to air TV they will show it at 11:30pm in July.

Good way to ruin a really good TV show in this country.

More recent seasons of 24 have not been treated with love and respect by Se7en.

Possible they may start with it in Feb, although doubt very much it would be on before 22:30. If they do show it then expect it to be treated like Prison Break.

Se7en will be flogging to death their initial prime time ratings lineup during their Aussie Open coverage... wouldn't hold your breath though.

They're repeating Redemption on Jan 31, so here's hoping that it airs not long after that :D. It's a late night timeslot though, i wouldn't object to it IF 24 was given another 10:30pm timeslot - as long as they didn't chop and change the schedule every couple of weeks.

Have always thought that if they bury some shows late at night, they should do a Channel 9 (as they are with Mcleouds daughters) 'bury' the show when there is nothing else on - ie: Saturday night :p. Wouldn't work well once the footy starts, but oh well... it's something i'd like to see.

Season 7 is gold so far, having said that i have a rough plot outline as to what is meant to happen until ep 18 (bar the fate of a few characters, which i'd love to know if they are still around ) and a few key things there after i just hope it keeps rocking :thumbsu:.

Now I love 24 but I'm starting to feel like I'm watching an episode of the West Wing more and more these days. Hate that new president, terrible actress. Just give me Jack blowing shit up and shooting people. I'm gonna go watch Season 1 again.

LOL, I just realised that Sean the analyst is Billy Walsh from Entourage! I keep expecting him to say, "I can't get that for you, SUIT!"
GOLD!:D:D

Wednesday for everyone's info at 9:30 with a 2 hour premiere. May actually watch this from the start to finish. I don't think I've watched a series of 24 without missing a few episodes.

Nice start.

Good to have Tony back, he makes an awesome bad character.

Looks like the time slot changes have started already though. Sunday 9.30. Is it going to be on just then or both night? Or some other random time?

These double episodes are airing from 9.30-11.30pm so I suspect Seven is planning to shift it back to 10.30pm pretty quick and are only having these 'doubles' to try and boost it's long term audience in that slot.

I watched it and I liked it :thumbsu: I'd be lying though if I said my enjoyment wasn't reduced somewhat by Seven throwing in extra ad breaks

They can't broadcast too many double episodes, since they are only up to Ep7 in the US.

Surprise, surprise, Wednesday's two hour premiere airing from 9.30pm to 11.30pm rated poorly so Seven has cut back this Sunday's two episodes to just one airing at 10.30pm, which is where the rest will play out.

You say that like it would be a bad thing :p

I certainly liked the first 2 episodes. Good pace, some intriguing storylines and Jack is back! One of the opening scenes where Jack was being questioned was excellent. I loved the 24 ‘movie’ and I appreciate it even more now after seeing this. For whatever reason it actually took me a while to realise that the Presidents son that had been killed was Roger from the movie. That was a major shock to me and actually quite sad. He certainly didn’t commit suicide and I hope the Presidents husband (no, Prez isn’t gay! :p) gets to the bottom of it. I really like his character already; I reckon he should be the President instead! Samantha clearly doesn’t have any knowledge of what happened; she’s innocent in all of this. If not then 24 will have fooled me again.

Apart from that one FBI guy, are we suspecting anyone of being a dirty agent? I’m no good with names for this season yet but that guy who works for the President, the guy from Shawshank Redemption, I’ve got a feeling he’s bad. I just don’t think he can be trusted and I wouldn’t rule him out being involved in Roger’s death in some way. He clearly isn’t impressed about the snooping around for information.

Good to see Coach Orion from D3 is still alive. Although some felt CTU might have been getting stale man I miss it and it’s going to be awfully tough to survive without it. I miss Bill Buchanan so much. :( Thankfully Chloe will be back because it’s not the same without her.

Tony bad eh? I don’t believe it, I’m sure there’s an explanation behind it despite how bad it looks right now. There was one scene in particular that I thought was enough evidence to suggest he’s not bad. I just don’t think the writers would make such a hero turn bad and risk alienating the support base. After seeing all the clips previewing the series with Tony I was expecting him to be around the season for a long time but he’s already been captured so I’m not sure how long he’ll remain. All the Tony clips came from the first two episodes.

I liked the start but I probably wasn’t quite as hooked as I have been after the opening two episodes of previous series. It was pretty faultless though and set it up nicely for future episodes. :thumbsu:

I knew it would happen but still, just when I thought I couldn’t have any more hatred for Channel 7.
