How did he do the knee anyway? Was it a freaky one like Gibcus landing badly from a mark? That would be best result.

If you think Alger is going to be an all time great, just wait until you see the 2nd coming of Leigh Matthews once Taj Hotton gets healthy.
Hotton is more like Shai Bolton than Shai was at the same age.If you think Alger is going to be an all time great, just wait until you see the 2nd coming of Leigh Matthews once Taj Hotton gets healthy.
Hotton will snap heads off just like Lethal snapped point postsDisagree
Hotton stands on heads when trying to take a mark
Matthews used to just stand on heads if his opponents were on the ground.
First player to receive a lifetime ban on debut, coming on as subHotton will snap heads off just like Lethal snapped point posts
From memory, his season leading up to the injury, he’d become a dead eye kick for goalYes I do too but I seem to recall Richo did his ACL at about 20 and had a good run of injuries after. Maybe if you do one when young it’s better than doing in later years e.g. Coghlan, David Schwartz.
This kid will be a gun. He moves so well.
If he can fix our long list of injuries, especially ACL's, he will literally have a blank cheque in the industry for lifeThis is why I think getting Serpell on the books was such a good idea.
Has a massive job on hand rehabbing the current crop of ACLs but if he’s as good as what they say we could have a steal with Hotton
PHWOARCaesar from PRE just posted this info he found prior to the season
20m Sprint: 2.882 - (would have ranked him 3rd if recorded at the AFL combine)
Running Vertical Jump: 93cm - (would have ranked = 2nd if done at combine)
AFL Agility: 7.807 - (would have ranked him #1 if done at combine)
Thanks to Caesar the man is a legend and his work is greatly appreciated

Still would have taken joe berry or bo allen, bold move to take a player with an Acl and who is marked elite for leap and agility. Hard to see if he will be the same player missing that much footy and development
Didn't stop Richo, and that was not long after knee's almost finished careers. With rehab now, not many do the same knee again.Still would have taken joe berry or bo allen, bold move to take a player with an Acl and who is marked elite for leap and agility. NFI why people wanted Allen, rangy mid with no skills. I liked Berry instead of Faul at that pick but if we'd taken Berry/Reid who knows how that might've altered the picks thereafter. Could miss out on Trainor or Armstrong, much more important players to our structure going forward. Ended up with Alger who looks every bit the player Berry is, so basically we nailed the **** out of it.Nah.
For me I’d have taken Reid instead of Faull. Reid will be a 200 gamer. Steady player. But they have gone with structure first so I’m not against that thinking .
Berry may end up very good but small forward is the last piece you need when rebuilding and can traditionally do it with later picks. Unless the small forward projects as a 50 goal a year player. I don’t think Berry is that.
Allen looks a half back to me. With a dicey kick. And a west Aussie that could have a propensity to go home. We don’t need more of them.
