Coulthard showed pretty clearly yesterday why the Tigers tanked to get pick 4 in the MSD to pick him up.

The most revealing thing is the "8 point game" performance v teams who we were:

1. competing against for Coulthard in the MSD, and

2. competing against for a final 8 berth.

There were 3 phases to our 8 point game season.

Phase 1, Lynch fully fit in rounds 1, 2, 3. 1 win v Crows, 1 draw v Blues, no losses. 1-1-0

Phase 2, lost Lynch long term, switch from flag aspirants to operation "Get Coulthard," to stop other teams being able to select him before us. 1-4. Losses to Swans, Bombers, Dogs, Suns to strategically slip to 4th in the MSD. One win v Cats because we didn't want to slip further than we needed to get access to Coulthard, and "a little bit of history" with the cheating Cats. 1-4.

Phase 3, Coulthard safely secured in the MSD, a finals position to secure, 4 wins v Swans, Dockers, Giants, Saints. No losses. 4-0

So isn't it funny that when we had reason to win these 8 point games we went 5 wins 1 draw zero losses. And when we had reason to lose these games, we went 1 win 4 losses.

Well played yet again Richmond FC.
I can’t believe I just read this

It's call big picturing TI. :)

You should try it some time, rather than just following the ball on your TV screen. You won't ever find the real answers that way. ;)

Very Marcel Proust of you

You don't see many players make running look easier than M Coulthard.

We've dead set plucked a quite ready made looking player out of thin air with this kid. His own parents hadn't even heard of him until about 7 weeks ago. One of the Club's cleverest recruiting coups since we outmanoeuvred 11 other clubs to grab Dick Clay back in the 60's. :)

I've read a lot of rubbish on this site but this has to be close to the biggest load of crap yet. Right up there with Magic.

D Rioli did a 12 week syndesmosis v the Hawks. Went into the sheds with Lukey Meehan and it was already fully healed in time for the second half. Bit of a slow start to the season Meehanbobbymcgee, but he gets it now. On a roll.
Wednesdays injury report will have Rioli out for all of 2024 ffs

Loouie smashed his ankle with a crowbar and accidentally snapped it back into place

This kid is electric. I love his speed and the quality of his ball use. He also seems to be happy to play in congestion too.

What I want to see from him now, is him playing forward. I'd love him to bring the heat that MJR does but with better finishing skills and ability to set up others. If he can push up off the half forward line and then race back inside (like Butler, Castagna and D. Rioli did), he is going to make us incredibly dangerous for a long time.

Only cost us our coach and our sanity

First Tiger all year to hit 2 players directly on the chest with 2 consecutive kicks. :tearsofjoy:

Dimma would have dragged him for not enough chaos.
How quickly you forget Bauer. You prick!
