Great effort all round, great season, only really lost the game in the 2nd qtr when absolutely everything clicked for GWS - every bounce every arsey kick.

The main thing to work on over the preseason - i50 efficiency.

Better system won out.

Sliced and diced on the outside.

Way, way better footskills and composure. We either went sideways, or went long to 50/50s.

Forget lists, this was a systematic dismantling. A lot of work for coaches to do.

We looked like a team playing footy years out of date compared to the Giants. Like a different sport.

System breaks down between Centre and Half Forward.

The timing of the forwards moving away from goal and mids streaming forward needs tweaking badly.

Getting caught still moving forward on the rebound way too often. Leaves acres of space on the wing which results in acres of space for opposition to work the defenders out of position.

Can count on one hand the number of players I trust with possession.

Sinclair, Wilkie, Waganeen- Milera, Stocker, Sherman. 5 players, 4 from the backline and one plays forward, tells you as much as you need to know. We over-achieved with our system this year.

We need to keep Gresham , he can impact a game.
We lost today because there midfield was just to good , Tom Green , Ash , Kelly just to clean.
Good to see Nas had over 500m gained - brilliant from this kid.
Hopefully we see Windhager , Owens and Phillipou given a good shot at the midfield next year.
And anyone who had doubts on Sharman will see after todays game he is a very dangerous player , I also have to mention Hill - he gave everything.

Far out our midfield today was just smaaaaaaaashed. Marshall or nothing.

Hate the loss, but the year was absolutely positive. Need to build on it.

I think it’s due to our system, asking all of our defenders to stay high to defend, once GWS slices our midfield zone, all of our defenders are caught out of position against their opponents, so wouldn’t say it’s Cordy’s fault only. Howard would not have done better the way GWS moved the football

Didn’t play our best, looked a bit cooked mentally after about half time but I think GWS were just a bit too classy for longer. Good experience for the kids. Some senior players did ok. Happy enough with that. Doing the double header and headed to the Polaris concert though so some bloody good metalcore should make up for the pain

I get the criticism of Phillapou. But guys he’s so young. He’s played an entire year. He’s shown moments including equal high centre clearances against BL last week. He has shown he can kick well has good speed and awesom hands. Compare to Owens last year. Just give him some time.

Windhager won’t be in the middle till he gets the tank for it. His preference is to be at HBF at the moment

Also I know they were better but that non Throw call on the 50 that cost us a goal was a real momentum killer. Anyways hope the giants go all the way.

GWS to slick for us today, we’re building something special, great experience for our kids.

Obvious issues that our coaches and list managers are well aware of. We’re not a delusional football club.. Midfield is our weakness, it’s what cost us today.

But it was a super fun season..

He had a shocker but yeh, he’s 18. Sincs and Wilkie are AA and we’re both pretty poor too.

There is nothing any full back could do when GWS were moving the ball so quickly and getting the ball out the back.

Yeah it's really Cordys fault he's left one out with beautiful delivery on Riccardis head. The blokes up the ground are part of the defence too and if we are being reasonable it was a collective fail.

Three quarters of the problem was our slow ass midfield can't do nothing once GWS get the ball hence easy looks inside 50 for GWS. On the flip side we had tough looks all afternoon as the GWS mids were doing their job defensively.

Gresham was awesome. Probably 4 blokes that can hold there head up high after that and Gresham is one of them. He was the least likely to do it as well. Shows character when there's rumours the club wants you out and you show up like that and 18 of your mates show absolutely no pride in the jumper.

Hard to blame the defenders too much. Was really really glaring at the ground that the clearances being so clean and there being so much pace on the ball in spread meant they were pretty cooked every time

Sharman may have arrived today. He was our most effective big forward, including creating scoring opportunities for others.

Marshall really good today.

Our midfield underwhelming. Fumbled and wasted ball, and could not link up as well or as often as the GWS mids could. But we have known that this is our biggest problem for year.

That and in general poor ball use.

Most of our kids were off their games today. Will help for next year, but today was a factor in holding us back.

Our accuracy on goal when the game was live was lacking as well.

He's best 22 for mine.

11 of his 16 possessions were contested.
He had the most contested marks on the ground.

Some were trying, but not succeeding, Butler for example. Nice mark though.
