The exciting thing about his debut was that he's never been a linebreaker, any pre-draft analyses on him will confirm that. It's why so many preferred Polec despite Gaff being superior in many other aspects.

But he showed a definite aptitude for a bit of run and carry on Saturday, and certainly exhibited a decent turn of pace. If he's showing that in his first game then the future looks extremely bright.. especially considering he has no problem finding the ball and using it well

I believe he worked pretty hard on that over the pre-season. I recall him saying that was something he would work on to improve his overall game. If he turns up to training 45 mins before start time, I have no doubt he will work on these perceived deficiencies.
