I love how the gimps pushing the Ashcroft barrow are basing it on the impact to Brisbane when Ashcroft went down with injury.

Do they not know that if the same had happened to Sheezel that the impact would have likely been greater to our team because of the spud that would have replaced him.

It’s a lazy way to try and validate what is nothing more than bias towards the player they want to win. Players should be judged on actual performance and not some stupid logic of the impact of the player not being in the team.

Bunch of ****sticks!

Every ****ing time something involves a north player.
I’d never heard a soul talk about goal assists until BBB was in contention for AAs lol.

If you wanted to take their logic to the next level, why wasn’t George Wardlaw measured on the impact to the team for all the games he missed?

As I said it’s just clowns trying to validate who they want to win. Using anything and everything to justify that viewpoint, while ignoring actual performances.

How do they know that Ashcroft level wouldn’t drop off in the last 6 games with fatigue?

We are constantly reminded that Harry took some kick ins just to pad his possies. Any stat gurus out there able to provide the figures on how many Harry took this year compared to Daicos last year?
Daicos - 53 in 2022
Sheezel - 66 in 2023

I’m not sure how those poor lions even recovered after that injury.. stumbled their way to a second place finish and a home qualifying final…

Shhhh!

The media want everyone to think that the Lions imploded and we’re a basket case because a 18/19 year old kid wasn’t in their midfield.

They want to save money on remaking the trophy that they had engraved with the name Ashcroft prior to Round 1.
