Never in doubt. Media pundits can say whatever they want but when the selectors would have sat down and looked at the actual stats, the records broken, even for the most biased person it would have been able to deny him top votes.

Well done to the lad. Super year.

Never in doubt.

Tired of these whinging moaners complaining that if Ashcroft had played the whole year, he would have won. My response to that is, if Wardlaw played the whole year, he would have beaten them both.

But Harry won, and that's all that matters.

Throughly deserved on what was a shining light in a very dim year.

I thought he’d be a solid role player this year, never expected him to be an out and out star from the get go. Testament to his talent and a testament to his work ethic.

The first of many many accolades.
When we first drafted a forward pocket I thought here we go a 5 touch half a goal season for a young kid trying to adapt to AFL level.

I guess I got that slightly wrong LOL!

So awesome to start seeing some genuinely elite talent coming to the club.

What shouldn't be under rated there, is the presence of mind from CCJ to hand it off to Sheez, when as a forward that's expected to kick goals he could have gone for the snap himself, but didn't.

The first North Melbourne player to win a significant individual award since Shannon Grant won the 1999 Norm Smith Medal.

No Colemans. No Brownlows. No other Norm Smiths. No AA captains. No AFLPA MVPs. No Coaches Association bests. No Rising Stars until...

HARRY!

Absolutely stoked for him, the club and us supporters.

Been a flipping long long time , too long

I loved how he mentioned the Footscray Practice Game

I knew half way through the last quarter that it was a Backman in the making and a Clarkson master stroke

Feel like Boomer snagged some big ones?

Feel like Boomer snagged some big ones?

No. He won the E.J.Whitten Medal in 1999 - a few months before Shagga won his Norm Smith. He won a Jim Stynes Medal for International Rules but the phrase "Mickey Mouse" comes to mind. He was runner-up in the 2007 Brownlow to Jimmy Bartel. But no.

One of the anomalies of the Rising Star - Boomer was never nominated
