It’s a farce how underated he is. Change his name to Daicos and the world would creaming themselves.
i dont think he is underated, sure there is a lot of posturing to make a silly concept like the rising star relevant but seriously like the all austrailan you cant come up with a fair formula that splits players based on thir roles fairly. imo sheeza in a bonafide utility where ashcroft is a pure mid, and thats not taking into account Cadmans best footy will be in a few years where he reaches the size to compete in his suited position. like last weeks team of the week, larkey in the forward pocket, in reality you always play your KPFs in the spine, the pickets are pretty much the domain of crumbers.

the daicos's are more about the team they play for, over 100 thousand members potential clicks for the ready where we have what just on 50k?

leave the media concepts to the media and just enjoy the footballers for who they are.

The kid is probably going to win the rising star in a position he'd never played before getting to AFL level.

it's completely f***ing ridiculous.

some people train their whole lives to be good in one position. This kid was a mid forward and just like that he's the best first year player in the backline.

What happens when we can actually afford to put him into his natural position?

Under rated, over rated, who gives a sh*t so long as he is loyal.

I think he is because the scale of his performances are just passed over. Like Ashcroft to me is overrated as a mid in one of the best midfields in the league. Sheezel is already a top 1% decision maker. Can’t wait for him to move up the ground.

I think we have stumbled across a midfielder that plays in the Pendlebury mould. He would be wasted as a half forward. A mix of mid and forward is ok but with more of an emphasis on the mid role. We have Zurharr, Ford, Brayden George and Harvey to play as half forwards.

Not in my eyes Ashcroft is a great player different to Harry but still going to be a gun.

You should be very excited about Owens and Phillipou too.

He has been one of our best first year players I have ever seen in a blue and white 💙

I go to the same coffee shop as Harry’s grandfather most morning. Spoken to him a few times, very proud of his grandson (obviously). Caught him this morning pouring over the team selections in the paper 🥺 checking to see who Harry is going to line up on no doubt

This may have been posted, but it took my eye.

Harry Sheezel is elite in the League for disposals, effective disposals, contested possessions, ground ball gets, score involvements, goal assists, and pressure acts, and above average for marks and tackles.

And not a Monty for the Rising Star. He should be in the conversation for All Australian.

WTF?

Been saying it all year. He is having a better year then the HBs they are considering... Dan Houston excluded.

I reckon he's been better then Jack Sinclair.

Checked their starts. Sheezel very comparable to both the mentioned players. Better in some stat's, beaten in others, but couldn't be more even.

Further proof he should make the squad of 40 at least

Commentators talking about how Sheezel might be pressing his case for the rising star - that possibility the fact that Ashcroft is injured and now has the most debut season disposals ever might be able to push him over the line.

It’s ****ing absurd. Ashcroft is a whole length behind Sheezel. I actually can’t comprehend.

And triple M commentators hang it on him for shagging off against bolton? Seriously
