Good to know they are not desperate to rush him back. Needs a good 5 or 6 VFL games before they consider him.
Was going to say, he needs to show some sort of form at VFL level before he’s considered. Hopefully gets a good run at it now with a clearly defined role.

Played a quarter of the VFL and was then benched, hasn't been seen since. Commentators don't know why but are speculating that it was due to Ridley being concussed.

Timing wise, Ridley came off the ground around 2.04pm (that's when the club tweeted it) and was subbed off at 2.10pm (again, based on the club tweet).

VFL game started at 2.05 and quarter time was at about 2.30, which means about 25 minutes after Ridley came off the field, Reid was benched – or just enough time to properly confirm a concussion with the 20 minute rule and rule Ridley out for next week.

Hopefully it's just preparation for next week and not a regression with his back.

Would you settle for 1.25?
No.
Have nothing official but as Boncer mentioned there has been comment he had an injury. Can not confirm.

He didn't play this week because he wasn't ready. It is hard to see how another quarter makes him ready.

This is why I think Brad needs to reign it in during the press conferences. He's creating a rod for his own back and this is not a club that manages to get everyone pulling in the same direction with any ease.

Reid is not 'ready' as defined by the ultra conservative manntra being preached. No amount of BS/neurolinguistic programming at a press conference will change that.

I've got to say, I hope we are going down the BS route because the alternative is not great. Obviously they are not going to let him play unless he is medically sound but medically sound was not the standard for Reid, as was made abundantly clear.

If we benched him because we want him to play next week it flies in the face of the “we want to prepare our players to be in the team for ten years” mantra. Let him build up in the VFL.

this post is funny because BS could stand for Brad Scott or Bull Shit

Wow, his body can't stand up to VFL level for a month.

Thing's are not looking good for Zach/us.

Under done with covid, Glandular fever(or similar), and various injuries.

Hoping this hammy is a very minor issue.
