I'm not refering to Joe Daniher. Look at Brisbane's injury list over the last 3-4 years and you would be amazed.

Hawthorn had a good run too under Andrew Rusell, then he went to Carlton and they're really not. Same with Richmond in their Premiership years, Melbourne in theirs etc.. etc..

Sometimes it's the fitness staff, sometimes it's luck. Growing talls are pretty susceptible to this stuff no matter what club they play for, and our conditioning department has been completely overhauled over the past 2-3 years so it's not even the same people anymore.

I don't doubt Brisbane have a good bunch, but they can't make growth related issues not appear which is what Reid is suffering from.

Sometimes you just have to trust that skinny kids that grow rapidly are going to take time and this kind of thing is unavoidable.

If he is indeed 205 as has been mooted there are less than a dozen players taller than him playing at the top level and none of them played any significant footy as teenagers or in their early 20s.

He’ll literally be the tallest key defender ever.

I’m more than happy to dump on our strength and conditioning program though, absolute dumpster fire.

let's dump on the head of high performance. You can't trust a skinny chef, you can't trust a fat personal trainer, you can't trust a skinny high performance manager ;)
