Did also love the bit about him mentioning that in discussions with Little they thought whilst Little and He were both at the club it couldn't move forward....

This would've made us assume that Little was also going to step down... but love how Little then had to mention about his position that he's there until the WADA thing is over, the review is done and a new chairman is found and ready... (so little stays for at least 6more months you'd think :))

'We are the most successful Club in the AFL'

Really Jimmy!

A 1993 salary cap breach says otherwise.

Not to mention the one where he said something along the lines of "For the record, despite what the results say, I think I'm a good coach".

Some posters may want to look away with this next post.

So it is like anything in life, where where you when the big events happened. On my wedding day I was standing at the altar, I was in the delivery room for the birth of my kids and ironically when the news hit about James Hird 'resigning' I was in the dunny taking a massive shit!

Thanks for the memories Hirdy, gonna miss ya fella!
Whole new meaning to #hirdpresser

what did he say?

Basically:

* Hird was pushed, didn't want to go.
* Decision to get rid of him was weak.
* Club is divided, and more will come out over the next few weeks.
* Said Hird wants to tell his story about what happened, but we won't hear it because Bombers got him to sign a no disparagement clause in the settlement to end his contract early. David S pointed out that Hird didn't have to sign it and take the money, then he could tell his story. Robbo went to "poor Jimmy" mode as he'd need the money for his family etc.

Essendon and James Hird: Club reduced to laughing stock

Essendon's administrators might as well have spent the past few years standing outside their new high performance centre at Tullamarine throwing wads of cash into the breeze. And the damage done to the club's reputation over the long-term could amount to far more even than that.

But I just love this...

In terms of the supplement saga, Essendon has alternately cosied up to the AFL then made a big show of taking the league on. And the club's public relations during the entire soap opera have been an incompetent joke, leaving their fans either ill-informed or uninformed.
Good times.
