mitchell is a ball magnet, tackling machine who is slow but lightening fast with decision making and quick hands. only room for one of these types in most sides and seems the pies know it by offloading taylor adams and surround mitch with pendles, crisp, daicos, goey and room to break in a kid.

jack graham is only half as good as adams or tom mitchell. there is no way he be can be an automatic selection for a contending or on the rise side. its inevitable he will end up like jake aarts and be suburban gun that gave it a crack but just fell short.

Grimes had a career worst year & Jaydn Short has fallen off a cliff based on those results. This is a guy who won the B & F in our greatest hour & a few year ago.

With Jack, It's hard to believe the club once fancied his capable of being our leader & here we are at 25 & he still hasn't been able to lock in a real spot or role in the team, even with our big decline

Short kicked 7 goals. Missed 7 games. Mini was using him differently and I thought it was looking interesting. The most he has ever kicked is 9 back in 2018.
You’d think Adem would value his kicking more than most. Let’s get back to giving him the ball.

Gave it a crack and just fell short . 100 games and 2 premierships and a big wrap in the year he missed out.
What ever happens he is a premiership gun that played over 100 games of AFL footy.

Just fell short of a third Premiership flag, Id be happy with that.

Short going down back again & Dan moving forward has been one of the most obvious changes the club ignored to try during the last 2 years. Considering the dysfunction in our gameplan its a total joke the club didn't trial that again at any stage

back 6 should be

B: Baker Balta Broad
HB Short Young Vlaustin

Grimes, Mansell, Trezive, Gibcus, K.Smith, Banks going down there to assist.

I also think there is more than a few decent young bargain options that have been available in support backline roles available to if we need be. Adding Dans composure, Xfactor & speed down forward has been a very obvious move for a long time

I would rather see Rioli or Short move to the wing. Our small forwards are on a hiding to nothing the way they have been asked to play.

Rioli has been a revelation at half back, why would you want him back where he had to escape from or be dropped in the first place.

Hopefully new coach new ideas, but even still, Rioli's run and carry has been great, and Short is much the same. Would be nice to see us play attacking wingman for a change.

I agree with that re how the smalls have been asked to play - i was hoping Mini would show something different - but he was infact just a "mini" as thats the way he coached. Id be ok with either being on a wing as well. Our wings have always been taller types to give them an advantage with 1 on 1s and to be defensive minded - not sure if Dan or Jaydn can do that stuff, but would be just interesting to see hour wings played somewhat differently for a bit. The way we had played had grown quite thin to watch and it showed on the playing group too i thought. they always looked frustrated, rarely like they were enjoying the game of footy.

Wingman were once the most exciting players on the side. Greig, Barham, Flower, Hawkins, Wood etc. Bring back the lair.

I haven’t watched enough of the Hawks enough to see how quick Finn Maginnes is but with how well he’s worked for the Hawks in that role, Yze having been there maybe when he started and Newy having just been there I wonder if with Ziebells comments we look at turning him into a tagging mid.

I still hold out hope Jack is a best 22 player for us
