Player Watch #34: Jack Graham - MOVED TO WCE - PICK 42 Received

I think we just need to move on from him and i think both Adelaide teams would bid for him.

Both those teams would see value in a tough warrior & he will likely have a better career from here with them, as our rebuild back to a top 4 team looks a long way away. I think Graham is the type of player that needs to have elite talent around him to show off his grunt work and courage. He hasn't got the game to be elite himself & with no elite talent around him - he is a pretty underwhelming

Both those teams have picks we could deal with too.

Port's pick 36 & 38 for Graham & our pick 42 would be enough for me

The Crows have some tastier treats. We could perhaps convince them to trade pick 20 & pick 45 for Graham and pick 25. Both these options would improve our trade hand considerably

To both those teams, he could be quite a valuable piece - he is a big game player in regards to finals, but he needs to be a bit role only & both those teams have the talent to complement him

7 tackles and another 8 missed....Lefau could do his job and probably be more damaging....:$
was rewarded for one free kick for all his tackling efforts and that was only because Dusty helped nail him when opponent was just about to wiggle free.

the AFL have almost made tackling obsolete now, spinning a man around while he hand balls to a team mate running past is frivolous....and causing a ball up is about the only effective tackle these days, AND they still refused to pay 90% holding the ball decisions in our favour.

How were the cnts ignoring a clear HTB in 1q from nank grabbed a defender right in front of goal after 5 paces ,,, as if that’s not prior oppo ffs

Whatever happens to JGTI, wherever he finishes up next year or beyond, and however much bollocks about him spews out of the traps of the entitled sooks with short memories, what is certain is that Jack stood up in the biggest of games for the club.

The same cannot be said for some far more celebrated media darling opponents of ours who were invisible in those same games - Toby Greene (twice), Jeremys Cameron and Finlayson, Lachie Whitfield, Charlie Cameron (twice), Tex Walker, Eddie Betts, Tom Stewart (twice), Cam Guthrie (twice), and others. All had their chance to be what Jack Graham was in those games, but didn't or couldn't take the chance.

We all know that we could survive with Jack from here on in, and with a good deal we could probably even do better than him going forward. But he's done his part, he's stood up on the biggest of stages, and deserves far more respect than the nonsense I'm reading on this and other threads.

Port have moved on and have limited trade picks where they will be chasing rucks and defenders.
They will be hoping their pick 36 is good enough for Grundy

Triggered a contract extension for next year

What about us poor supporters

This is interesting. Rewatched a game or two from 2018 as I remember making a comment at a club function Graham would be leading the best and fairest but then got injured badly against the Crows if memory serves me correct?

When played as an inside bull that year, he was dominant in his pressure and pushing the ball forward. He was one of our better players in only his second year.

He’s been mismanaged by Dimma and Mini now playing a stupid role. Wonder if new coach will play him in his proper role now he’s got a contract? Is it pointless because we overspent on two exact types?

This is part of the problem our list management group have caused.

2018 H&A was probably our finest and he was a major part of that.
