I pity them and love them at the same time.

We need to wrap him up in cotton wool to ensure no major mishaps take place as even a late third rounder could be used for trading up. Plus we don’t want them losing interest if he does have another serious injury.

It's from Bruce's call in the 2017 grand final. He was the one who said "Jack Graham that is". And we only had the two Jacks in that 2017 grand final side.

He won 3 flags on the back of other great players and was spruicked as a "Future Captain".

4 good years is not a good career, just because you were lucky enough to play alongside Dustin Martin, Cotchin Riewoldt.

As soon as the "legends" retired, he failed to step-up. Failed to lead. Failed to take a bigger role.

He was the complete opposite of a future leader. Never took the extra leap. never added anything to his game.

People say Georgie was a "right place, right time" guy but Graham is far more fitting of that. Might be the worst 2 time premiership player in history. Graham could play his career 500 times over and not win a flag i reckon. Right place, right time.

He came second in the B&F in 2021, so that was a reasonable year.

But I am also disappointed with his lack of improvement from then until now… after 2021 I was hoping he’d develop into a B+ midfielder as he was just coming into prime age. But injuries and other factors means he’s played worse footy across 2023-24 than he did in 2021-22 which has been disappointing.

But he leads the teams tackling and pressure acts year in and year out, so he’s trying his arse off when he gets on the park, so he doesn’t deserve the vitriol he cops when the attitude of a few others players could be questioned.
