We just got slapped hard by Dwayne & Gerrard on Sports Tonight on AW.
They were taking calls on who won the war, Dogs or North. Obviously, only taking calls that the Dogs won. They suggested that we lost the game, lost the fight & lost any support from the football community. We are still in line for GWS as we've got no hope here.
We are talentless snipers and Eade was correct that we took cheap shots. According to them Brad's comments just proves how out of touch we are as a club!
Apparently the Dogs are now a powerhouse, yet we are a joke of a club with no support that gets 16k to a game where 5k were Adelaide supporters.
I've had enough of this crap.
We need to prove the football world wrong & stick it up them.
Stuff em all.
I actually love the club more now then ever, if that's possible.
We are North Melbourne and we are here to stay!!
 
71011, I heard some of Dwayne Russell's vitriol on the way home and I was fuming. As soon as I heard they were asking for callers to ring in with their opinions on 'who won the war', I hit the off button. I can't stand listening to it anymore. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I don't know why anyone bothers to listen to 3AW or report their crap here. They never have anything nice to say about us.
 
SEN or JB&Billy MMM's Rush Hour.....much much better than 3AW

Yes mate. Your probably right. As you can see, I don't post much on here, yet I read alot. I tried to ring & give them a piece of my mind but was on hold too long.
I had to vent my fustration somewhere, hence the post!
Like I said, stuff em all. When the Hawks do it it's called "unsociable football", when Geelong do it, it's called "tough", but we are snipers. Well they can get stuffed, all of them. I hope we move up the ladder soon and stick it up them!

Surely the issue is that an objective view is lacking here?

The sad thing is that there is particular bias against and hatred towards some clubs, North Melbourne seem to have copped their fair whack especially since you guys have decided to stay in Victoria.

Objectivity is something that I try to pride myself on as someone who aspires to have a long career in the media.

Yes, but I listen to SEN all day but switch over after 6pm as SEN talk about some crap sometimes to fill the show with holiday spots, beer o'clock & financial advice, all on a sports show, go figure.
What time does the MMM rush hour start, sounds interesting.

I think this is the only commonsense post that has been made on both sides of the fence since this whole sorry saga began. I think I'll hang my hat on Ben's comments. And let's hope we start winning big soon. That will make us all feel so much better!!!

I'm through with AW. At about 6.45 Drayne was asking if it is too late to ship us off to GWS.

I think objectivity is something that is severely lacking in football at the moment and thought it needed to be said, sadly there is too much bias towards particular clubs out there.

I'm a Swans supporter with a soft spot for North due to the Werribee alignment and I think these two clubs cop whacks which all clubs do, but on the other hand some clubs appear to be immune from copping it from media outlets/journalists.

mate, I quickly learned during the Gold Coast crisis that if you indicate you are pro-North, the bastards screen you and stop you getting to air.

best way to get air-time, is to trick them and say you are anti-North. then when you get on air, give them your true opinion on the issue:thumbsu:
 
I think the best approach is satya graha.
All North supporters should ignore the basturds and listen and respond to other radio stations.
All they want is to hear a few random North callers to make it seem like they are fair. I suppose they could manufacture some callers if they were really desperate.
As the club becomes a powerhouse again the a.shles will come crawling back for interviews and such. This where we need a concerted effort from the admin to send them to the doghouse. Give them nothing. Feck them.

The NMFC could take a leaf out of Wayne Carey's old play book by refusing to speak to their reporters, refuse their presence at press conferences, training and on gameday, and generally give them nothing............not a player, a press release, NOTHING!

They're a paying radio media rights holder, as licensed by the AFL, and these clowns spend an inordinate amount of time devoted to one of the AFL's own club's downfall.

They cannot be allowed to get away with this! :a face madder than that mad face emoticon thingy:

I would love to see the club make a stand on this.

IF Russell and Healy bought memberships, send them each a refund cheque. We don't need money from ****s like them.

Ignore each and every question from them at media conferences, and interview requests.

There are plenty of other media outlets we can deal with.
 
The only "cheap shots" I've heard proof of this week have been those thrown from the cheap seats by an ex player and the flogs within the crumbling walls of Fairfax house at 3ArestillWankers!
