Might be the end for haze for a while out of the mcg test can’t play him in Sydney and don’t need him in Sri Lanka

Put him in cotton wool until the ashes next year for me

Issue is. Hazlewood will want to play at his home test. Friends and family will be in attendance. So there will be pressure on the selectors to pick him

Gonna be honest, I'm always fascinated by how commentators are confused by <muscle> awareness. Like, I was never close to being much of an athlete but I was experiencing a fair bit of quad awareness at the gym this evening and decided that was probably enough leg extensions for me!

Do we want to win or play players who are not fit ?

He can be with his family in the stands for the SCG test

If he's done his calf and I don't buy 'soreness' he won't be any hope on earth

If we can dismiss India by this afternoon for under 245 then we can roll them tomorrow - it's 50/50 depending on the weather but a good chance of a win.

If India makes the follow on total then they may as well make 500. It will prevent Australia from having any chance of winning the test because it's not like the Aussies can pile on 100 runs then send India back in with a target of 300 and 65 overs left on the final day. Too risky.

I don’t get why they don’t innovate in cricket when it comes to wet weather. Start days play much earlier, have a 6th day as reserve if you have a washout, even play at a backup stadium under a roof if the weather is bad. Sure it will cost money but will it cost a days lost ticket and TV revenue ? Not sure
Don’t hold your breath .. instead we have Tubby, Vaughan and various other professors of unintended consequences wanting to bring tests back to 4 days..

That depends is Smith planning on catching sodas? Can't see us winning unless they are rolled before tea

Vaughan - well basically all these commentators - talk about Jadeja like he’s just a hacker who goes out at 7 and throws the bat.
‘Always worth bringing the field up to see if he can help himself while Lyon’s bowling.’

He has a strike rate in the mid 50s. Aside from his silly little sword celebration there’s nothing cavalier about his batting, generally.

TBF to India, they've had to bat under vastly different conditions to Australia's innings. There hasn't been a ridiculous irrational hysterical appeal ever second ball. Must be difficult.
