Which speaks to mental approach more than skill. Simply put the 5 batters thought they did not need to apply themselves. Hard to see us going into 4th test unchanged, if we do selectors head is in the sand

Maybe in future fans, the Australian fans can have some input into the team. You even look around the national circuit its predominantly been a 'who you know' eg Shaun Marsh /Mitch Marsh getting more game time despite form through their dad Geoff, Sutherland twins through his dad James, Lehmann through his dad Darren, Nielsen through his dad Tim, Elliott through his dad Matt and the list goes on.

You have to work extra harder if your not in that purple circle. Do feel for a bit like guys like: Bancroft who clearly were on the outside of Pat Cummins boys club. In WA its been mostly a private school system that has enabled one to get favours in the state circuit. Guys like: M Marsh, Hardie, Stoinis, Cartwright, Turner, Joel Paris, Cam Green all came through the private school system.

I didn't recall that Love came in as injury cover for 5 Tests, made a ton and a 50 and averaged 48 then was dropped to never be seen again. What a luxury.

Law played one innings and scored a 50 too.

australian’s will always favour the “pedigree” and relations as opposed to the genuine talent that a player may have. have to wonder when the shield will end up defunct, there’s a reason t20 is far more popular to play.

Id say the NSW team was more inclusive in the 90s, and they had a step up in terms of selection in that era.
