Dimma said after the flag that the next season (2018) he would like to see Dusty ease up on the don't argue and be more attacking and direct, and it worked. His don't argues last year dropped about 40% and the couple of half hearted attempts this year have been ordinary.

I blame the coaching staff. This crap during the week that he "isn't in the side to tackle" might have some merritt, but he should be told and encouraged to get back to his '16/'17 years and attack the man and ball.
Back then he was the hunted. Now he's the Hunter.

This morning Mo Salah scored a goal for Liverpool after a drought. Dusty is like Mo. Both stars of their teams. Expect DM to goal today

Dont you dare bring salah up in the same sentence with Dusty.

Dusty is god, salah is a peasant.

Salah is a Chelsea reject. Martin is more like Hazard - the best players in their respective leagues

If you saw the Leppa interview, basically said Dusty has a tacklefree pass. That is everyone knows he is an offensive weapon and the system defensively is designed to assist this. If the team gets opened up by oppo, dont start pointing fingers at Dusty's zero tackle count!!! Of course if he avoids a tackle with a lame effort that can be scrutinised, but when we are at out best, Castagna, Butler, Rioli, Cotch, Edwards and backline are in the 4-5 tackle numbers. See what happens today.

Reply the vision of his brain explosions in front of the group and ask for feedback. If he cops a week from MRO, then maybe it's time ti visit dad and clear his head a bit.

How quick we are to turn on our own. I'm guilty of doing it as well. Dusty has been down this year no doubt but we are so quick to judge champions and hold them to some higher standard just because they've excelled in their field through hard work and talent but at the end of the day they're still human. Go Dusty, go tiges. If 2019 isn't our year so be it, we'll smash 2020.

Injured? Mentally off his game? Either way he is off the boil right now and could do with some time off. Give him the week off against Port.
Dimma did the same last year against Port and he went to NZ. I remember he also dropped /rested Graham and later admitted that was a mistake.

It might also be a mistake to keep playing a guy who is nowhere near it at the moment for someone who is more at their best.

Things are different for him these days. Since he signed that contract he’s had to do shit loads of stuff he never used to touch in the way of public appearances etc and maybe he’s not coping? Who knows.
But most of all the bloke is a normal human being who at the moment is badly down in Confidence as opposed to the rare space he was in for a long while. Don’t think resting him is any sort of solution he just has to do what’s you need to do in these situations and focus, work hard and he’ll come out the other side playing good footy again.
Welcome to being a normal bloke Dusty!
