Corbyn would of been the guy if he won the last election, wonder how that would of played out?

To say it could be any worse than Boris' calamity is, frankly, to have one's head in the sand.

Who do you want for 2024?

You know what, a year ago I would've thought it difficult, a real lack of good people the right age. But everyone else is ancient too and have half his mental acuity, and none of his rectitude.

Bernie 2024 - because #YOLO.

What's biden done for anything? And so do many others.

So yes, spare me that the left has anything better to offer

Corbyn woulda coulda shoulda. but wasn't.

Bojo is a lying goose, like Scumo. Both in power now & showing how pathetic they are.

Biden may not be anything special, but at least isn't trying to steel an election. Anyway lets see who goes to jail first shall we.

The Oz is running a piece by a Nick Cater, alleging it's the left that is to blame for the insurrection of Jan 6th in the USA. Biggest threat to democracy comes from leftist ‘elite’ (theaustralian.com.au) I found it an odd article, consistently fact free. I guess that's why it's an opinion piece, because you can just make stuff up if you publish in the Oz. Nick must have had his eyes closed and his hands firmly over his ears for most of the last 4 years.

He seems to ignore those folks on Jan 6th who invaded the capital, the attempts of Trump to by pass normal democratic procedures and his contempt for democratic process, he also fails to mention the republicans vigorous attempt to limit voting access (in many ways), nor do the racist proud boys get a mention except as being described as rabble, I suppose we should be pleased he didn't call them patriots. Mr Trumps call to arms is not mentioned, nor are his attempts to manipulate Mike Pence or the state election officials into certifying his victory. it's just elite, elites, elites. It's all the elites fault. Nick sure likes to push that elites button.

Now this troubles me, because a well paid author of fiction for Murdoch probably constitutes a member of the elite, as does republican supporting businessmen, like Mr Trump. Rich white man from NY, went to elite schools and who was given hundreds of millions of dollars by his daddy. That's gotta' be elite. Hypocrisy is not understood by these guys.

He also has confused, quite deliberately I believe, 2 different issues, one is populism, which let's face it, is a pretty broad church with folks from from both left and right, versus Trumpism, which is a specific form of populism that is not far from mid last century fascism. So to see Trumpism as a malignant force in the body politic is neither unusual nor elitist, it does not mean all forms of populism are the same.

If you enjoy torturing yourself reading articles in the Oz but don't want to pay for it, these people can help bypass-paywalls-chrome/README.md at master · iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chrome · GitHub
More front than Woolies, as my dear mum used to say.

Bad faith, deflection? thats what de santis is implying in the tweet, not my problem you cant understand that.

Scumbag, please. His defence is the tweet. The operation is now to try make this guy look worse than trump because like any narrative the next villian needs to be worse than the last.
Says the guy who just had the plain facts of COVID read to him by Chief and the best he could muster was the humiliating "I personally disagree with your post" without a trace of explanation why.

In other words, you had nothing. And you had nothing all along.

Next time, how about "you were right and I was wrong and I apologise"?

That will gain you some of the credibility you so clearly crave.

The idea that anyone in Australia could be invested to the degree you clearly are in any of their current or recent contenders (on either side) is mind boggling.
As always, the inability of some Trump fans posting here to recognise that hero worship adoration of a politician in another country is actually a really weird thing generally not practiced by anyone but them is one of the great enduring mysteries of this board.
The stone truth.

What's biden done for anything?
He defeated the most dangerous person to ever occupy the Oval Office.

No-one loves him. Get real. No-one idolises him.

No-one is brainwashed about Biden the way your Trumpers idolise your wrestling promoter con artist deity. He ridded the world of a dangerous megalomaniac is all.

Weird question.

lol

Popular angle to attempt these days, it would seem.

Jan 6 itself = fine
Memorial service on the anniversary = politicised clusterf**k :drunk:

Thanks Ron, knew it would have to be the 'teh left' at fault somehow. Lord knows its never Donnie.

Compared to the event itself?

Re listen to the tweet, what good came from the memorial? Where did he compare it to the event itself?

I'm sorry, are you a little bit thick?
Are you thick? Want to tell me about your tests for respiratory illnesses? Or did the doc tell you (if you bothered to go) "here's a certificate for a few days off work. Take Panadol for any headaches and throat Lollies to help with your sore throat".

Re listen to the tweet, what good came from the memorial?
It reminded people what can happen when you follow buffoons.

It reminded people how close a so called democracy came close to authorotarianism the US came

That's what memorials do. They remind and remember

Credibility from a bunch of leftist is not something I desire at all lol, If I ever do ill remember your line to get in the good books
