I don't think he regrets it in the slightest to be honest. The next few months will be all about securing his legacy within the minds of the Canadian people.


If he can unite the provinces (including Trump wannabe Danielle Smith) against Trump and guide the country through the next few months of uncertainty, he'll have recovered a lot of his reputation in the eyes of Canadians.


The massive winner in this is probably Carney, who's the front runner for the liberal party (left wing over here). He'll hopefully come in on a wave of support for the incumbent government standing up to the US.


Meanwhile Pierre Poilevre has spent the last few months bashing Trudeau and buddying up with Jordan Peterson and Elon Musk, which in the last few weeks has flipped public opinion of him massively.
