No. You're obviously clueless. The rule about straightening applies to straightening from any position, whether it's from flexion or straightening back up from hyperextension, no distinction is made.

21.2 Fair delivery – the arm

For a delivery to be fair in respect of the arm the ball must not be thrown.

A ball is fairly delivered in respect of the arm if, once the bowler’s arm has reached the level of the shoulder in the delivery swing, the elbow joint is not straightened partially or completely from that instant until the ball has left the hand. This definition shall not debar a bowler from flexing or rotating the wrist in the delivery swing.

Although it is the primary responsibility of the striker’s end umpire to assess the fairness of a delivery in this respect, there is nothing in this Law to debar the bowler’s end umpire from calling and signalling No ball if he/she considers that the ball has been thrown.
Can someone start a new "Bumrah is a chucker" thread so that the discussion stops clogging up this one?

I can see he didn't. As a former umpire it was close-ish I reckon. We don't want umpires at any level to be trigger happy and fire the gun on everything.

It's one of those close calls and sometimes umpires will get a whole heap of them in a game.
Fair enough particularly at lower levels with no DRS and batters needing time in the middle to develop.

Genuine 50/50.

If you get decisions like those you can get the 10 wickets required. It's pretty hard otherwise.

We've bowled well without luck today.

I've seen Australia get lucky over the years - it just happens. Cricket like all sports....any team needs a bit of luck.
