Start reading from page 350, it’s just after pant and jaiswal seem to have steadied

or p356 when pant gets out (3 posts above someone makes the call that pant will do something dumb and India will lose)

I was thinking that a possible way to get Jaiswal would be to let him get close to a 100 so he starts playing a few shots with the prize in sight.

It seems like that's what happened
He probably could have got a century and saved this match. He still has a long way to go maturity wise as he played at a few after the wickets kept on tumbling and easily could have got out then too.

Any data nerds know how often the Sydney test is alive for a series?

Wouldn't be commonplace
Last time was vs India in 20/21, but that was the 3rd of a 4-test series (1-1 after the first two).

Time before that was also vs India in 18/19, they were 2-1 up after three tests (Sydney was the 4th and final).

And before that was the Ashes 10/11, when England were up 2-1 after four tests.

So it's pretty rare.

Gavaskar, like most of the other Indians, simply do not know the rules with respect to DRS. These clowns need to read up and learn about the hierarchy that exists in what is taken into consideration during a review.
You dokt need to follow the rules when you sook it up and make the ICC bow down generally

Geez Cummins is lucky we got that done.

Pant is going to be cross with himself for a long time as he should be India had that draw if he just deadbatted another hour.
90 runs, 6 wickets, good bowling changes and fields, backed in his players to dig in at crucial stages each innings, lead a team that never gave up.

Yep let's just change his nickname to "Lucky" and be done with it.
