It's interesting to me how they capitulated late, after Jaiswal's wicket. Sundar refused to force strike, as though he didn't care or knew they didn't rate him. Bumrah was pissed off about something in the dugout; the most unshakable, affable bloke in cricket, and he sitting there staring off into the distance as though he knew they were done. The way both Jaiswal and Akash refused to accept the third umpire's decision.
There's something going on there, behind the scenes. Something isn't right with the Indian camp, something that was fine prior to the series and was fine right up until today.
Funny thing about pugnacious coaches, they put pressure on you to live up to the attitude. All the meanness and pettiness in the world won't save you if you can't put it on the park.
They beat us with Rahane offering a bat to Nathan Lyon with all of their signatures to celebrate his 100th test. They refused to surrender, that there was a hole too deep to dig their way out of; today, they ****ing gave us the test, with more or less the precise same players.
We'll see how they take the park in Sydney, but something stinks.
Cummins is a brilliant captain. People should stop hating him just because he isn’t a larrikin. He is smart and he always shows cojones when the game is on the line. He is the opposite of a squib. How many times has he got the job done? We have a lot of great successes over the last years… Ashes, WTC, CWC, hopefully regain BGT. He has been phenomenal and a massive upgrade on the previous bloke
The problem is the captain. He is an enormous rut and he has turned into a massive sook. He is a negative drag on the team, calling out the other bowlers for not supporting Bumrah, saying the team didn’t fight until the end, etc. Showing a petulance and poor body language in response to his young player dropping a catch. It's interesting to me how they capitulated late, after Jaiswal's wicket. He beat the traffic that's a WThat's a fail of giant proportion. Sorry bro
Tbh, it's kind of amusing the way a large part of the cricketing world is still running on the fumes of sandpaper gate.Time people moved on from sandpapergate. It was not a good thing to happen, but it's been dealt with and in the past. Time to move on.
My fear is something goes ping on Cummins, that's why Marsh is a no for me in Sydney if he can't bowl, he needs that fifth bowler in the side to give him a rest.Wonder how Starc's fitness is for Sydney. He looks sore and seeing he never bowls well in Sydney I'd play Richo. A fresh bowler at the end of a long series might not be a bad thing.
The other change is obvious. Marsh for Webster.
Start on page 372 for the non snicko deflection
Clearly off the splice. Doubt snicko would register a deflection. Glove would have shown up on snicko.
Also **** off Sunny with your optical illusion shit.
My guess is that they have filters designed to take out scuffing of feet on ground that type of noise and the sound made was filtered out.So snicko didn’t pick it up because it was glove or is it just not very reliable?
Not for more than a decade. Spinners haven't really done much in Sydney for a while. Is SCG still a surface for 2 spinners? I remember when MacGill used to come in for his only test every year
I think it rolled off the splice near the “G” on his bat sticker. You can see it on slow motion side on. Only explanation I can think of for not registering on snicko. A flick of a glove or edge will make a noise that would be picked up.
Almost as good as the Carlton board after snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in last 2 mins of 4th Q.Start on page 372 for the non snicko deflection
Yep.If the ball didnt deviate then fair enough. I dont think the umpire could ignore the deflection. How do you explain it otherwise?
Hats off to the 3rd umpire for having the stones to call it.
In fairness, there does seem to be a lot more support for the decision than I had imagined in there.Start on page 372 for the non snicko deflection
Langer should have the hair off.
