The 3rd umpire got both decisions right, but I still think he came across as worryingly amateurish at the same time, which probably won't help with the tinfoil crew and discussions about DRS.

With the first decision he focused on an inconclusive, potentially misleading single frame as if that means anything on its own.

In the second he immediately accepted snicko, even though the side-on view was obstructed and the frame-rate they were using for the front vision seemed inadequate.

Considering snicko had also literally just failed in the first decision, I think he should have demonstrated more diligence with the second, even though his knee-jerk call was ultimately correct.

Absolutely massive deflection. Miles away from the body.

Clearly hit glove when viewed side on. I don't think it hit bat, maybe slid along the face, but the glove was brutally obvious from side on. As was the huge deflection.

What else did it hit?
check tomorrows paper

He isn't he's elbow has this weird bend where it literally goes inwards.
Fair play double jointed. Luck with genetics. Good on him
20yrs ago that action was outlawed in club cricket.

Now the ICC just change the rules to suit. If you think it is legal i also suspect you think Nick Daicos is a tough player as well! 🤦‍♀️🤣

No deviation in the 2nd decision??? How do you think it deviated and hit the top of his pad and got caught?
well I can explain....see it was this optical illusion.......Cummins actually bowled the ball with his left hand, he put so much cut and seam on it that it moved off the pitch and in the end at right angles ...as it passed Jaiswal bat..who at the time was playing a front foot defence prod not a pull shot that you think you saw on tv ??

got it ??

Maybe I've tagged 3 random thou who seem to know their stuff. I'm interested in what they say.
Not out/umpires call/overturned out?
Maybe my eyes are playing tricks. I'm calling it inconclusive umpires call and not out
We have all seen the same footage and we all have eyes.

It makes no sense that you would change your view because people on the internet tell you not to trust what you see.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned here yet, but Rohit said in the press conference that the team strategy was to go for the win in the last session, hence Pant and Jaiswal teeing off. Absolutely idiotic stuff, basically asking to get the sack with tactics like that when they were no chance of getting those runs.

A bizarre admission if true. Even accepting the recklessness of telling Pant he is allowed to go big in a hail mary attempt at a win, surely once that wicket falls you have to protect the wicket of your last recognized batsman.

And then you publicly admit such stupidity, as if it is going to make you look better?
