We’ve made Bumrah look good by not batting properly and missing straight ones. We should be embarrassed
I am reminded of something Darren Lehmann said on Grandstand earlier this summer:

"The game gets progressively easier the further you are away from it. Out in the middle, it's difficult. On the sidelines, it's a bit easier but still tricky. In the commentary box, it's a simple game, but on the other side of a TV it's easy."

We make B look better than he is. Most of his wickets are from awful shots cos we have players who piss their panties when they see his weird head moving towards them. Head's head got tooo big and Marsh should stick to comedy OFF the field. Smiths shot was the worst of the entire series. We need a leg spinner of some class - oh yeah, Zampa, but he's just the best ion the world in white ball - couldn't possible have an effect in Tests...I wonder Pope then! Spice it up!

What a joke. You're obviously watching a different test to the one l'm watching. What's your head like?

If this likely loss means we drop the dead wood its not the worst thing.
Got to start the rebuild
Khwaja
Lyon
Starc
Hazelwood
Smith
Almost near the end

Marnus
Head
Carey
Cummins
Green

the only ones that will be there in two years

Lose this and dump Marsh and Khwaja bring back McSweeney and another young bloke.

We are in a world of pain with our test team.

Zampa is a dreadful red ball bowler and Pope has a number of the most expensive spells in Shield history.

Marsh, Khawaja & Lyon shouldn’t play in Sydney based on their series form. Healy who had a more significant career didn’t get a farewell test in Brisbane and I wouldn’t give Khawaja one at his original home deck. Selectors won’t drop Lyon (or Khawaja), but we need to pick a second specialist spinner to lessen the load on the quicks. Lyon hasn’t been able to do that role in Brisbane or Melbourne.

Fk me. Did we only have one bowler yesterday?

Starc was given the ball for the 95th over and after the 3rd ball was clutching at his back. How many overs did he get with the newish ball again?

He bowled 3 with the second new ball, conceded 14 runs in those 3 overs and was taken off

In fairness Webster should still be getting a game ahead of Marsh on current form
On current form, half the country should be getting a game ahead of Marsh

As good a bowler as Bumrah is, he’s got wickets from piss poor batting as much as anything he’s done with the ball, but also bowled some peaches that would get anyone out.
This is right It's his aura partly on top. Players need to see ball not crooked head stutter run. It's a gimmick that works well. I know many will poo poo this but logically, it is a factor. Mind over matter is so so powerful in much of life. It's why Broad had Warner every time - mental thing partly.

The problem is a lot of them are trying to hang onto another year for the Ashes and the selectors are going to give them that opportunity like they did with Warner.

Guys, I’m starting to think that George Bailey isn’t the master tactician we thought he was…

And we won the WTC, retained the Ashes away from home and won the ODI trophy since then.

Results have shown it was 100% the correct call to throw Langer off of a cliff when we did. As much as the wider cricketing audience was the loser of that decision as it brought on Langer the commentator.
We won all those because of the players. F*ck all to do with the coach or captain. We don’t win the WC without Maxwell pulling off an all time innings and similar with the WTC.

Facts are that we have players who are very good at pulling great innings/spells out of their arse when needed but overall our tactics and selection strategy are poor and always leave us vulnerable.

Anyone who made runs in the backyard on Christmas day would be a better prospect.
