Uzzie shouldn't be opening come Ashes time. He's been a stalwart (not a star, but a good servant), but he's a walking wicket nowadays.

I think he has been huge for us the last 3 years - give him the SL Series plus WTC assuming we make it and call it a career. Itā€™s been a tough summer for him - the end comes very quickly

Bumrah? That was absolute smart ass behaviour from us and we paid a hefty price

The only thing to blame, is Uzzie playing a full delivery off the back foot with no footwork at all.

Was a good delivery, but Uzzie is showing his run of form is drying up very quickly.

Time wasting is what every nation does. Why are we the bad guy for doing it?? Uzzid just nicked a good one and Bumrah couldnā€™t hack that Konstas stood up for his batting partner.

The whole series is getting to the point that India will have a tantrum and go home early.

No he's not. Australians wouldve reacted exactly the same. Hate to say it but thats the definition of karma.

Bumrah asked 'why?'

Konstas said 'he's not ready'

Bumrah then left his mark and went at Konstas. That's where it started.

He should've just bowled.

Probably to do with a non-striker walking towards him to get involved with an exchange between the bowler and the striker.

Thatā€™s my gut feelā€¦..

Considering that the fielding team has to be careful in terms of sending-off the out batsmen, not sure trying to give the send-off to the non-striker is within the spirit of the game

How TF did you get to that conclusion? Bumrah was starting his run off when Usman was not even at the crease. Bumrah kept trying to run in, and Konstas just gently waved him back and said he (Usman) wasnā€™t ready yet. Bumrah went off his nut after that while Konstas held his ground. Konstas does not have to bow down to anybody, regardless of talent or reputation. The kid did exceptionally wellā€¦ Usmanā€¦ not so well.

Anybody tell Jasprit that it wasn't Konstas he just dismissed?

The fact he turned straight to the off-strike batsman means the 19 year old is living rent free in their heads.

Doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with the way he goes about it. Those are the facts.

If thatā€™s the case, Kohli, Warner, Faf, Broad, etc etc etc - basically any ā€˜villainā€™ you can name from the last 20 years and before that as well - has lived ā€˜rent freeā€™ in the head of their arch rivals whether theyā€™re winning/performing or not.

He got involved in a minor dispute between the batsman and the bowler that didnā€™t have anything to do with him - maybe just to try and chew up time but either way it had nothing to do with him - and got told by Bumrah to basically f**k off and stay out of it based on what the footage showed. Two balls later the worldā€™s premier fast bowler takes a wicket. Of course heā€™s going to turn and give it to someone he perceives as a lippy little smart arse.

Do you think Shane Warne wouldnā€™t have done the same?

I wouldā€™ve rather had Bumrah rushing his last two balls and face another Siraj over than have that time wasting by Konstas and give Bumrah the opportunity to just focus on his last few deliveries

Dumb cricket that rightfully backfired on us
Not Konstas fault that his senior partner could not survive two bloody balls he was doing the right thing making sure there wasn't another over. If he had of survived we would have been in their heads all night but now they think they are on top all because Khawaja has zero footwork
