Can someone give me a valid reason why it has taken so long to play Webster, a player who plays like he actually wants to be out there? Unlike the "much loved great bloke" who never looked like he wanted to bat or bowl.

Selectors too close to the team imo. Not sure if Pat has a say too, seems like being a good bloke gave Marsh a few more games than deserved. I don't mind sticking with blokes with great records through rough spells like Smith but ridiculous with Marsh given he has been below average most of his Test career.

What annoyed me was there was comments about people needed to be performing at the lower level to replace people and the all rounder spot is the one where blokes were and still couldn't get in. Same with the openers and Bancroft.

This is a very closed and loyal group. Some very peculiar personalities and lots of introverts. Faces have to fit. If you’re “in” you have to do a lot wrong to get out.
