Just an awful performance from our batters on so many levels

A chance for our quick bowlers to rest - gone

Some luck with Bumrah off so a chance to work their other bowlers into the ground - gone

Instead we'll bowl with a tired attack when the pitch is at its best for batting while their bowlers can put their feet up before bowling when the pitch starts to deteriorate

Bloody commentators' curse strikes again! Bhogle only just praised the previous Lyon/Boland partnership.
India openers have batted well this Test. Shown plenty of mental strength and tenacity.

India 2/0 coming up :p

The way Webster has looked with bat and ball Green will be doing well to get back.
I can see a scenario where Green just concentrates on batting and does little or no bowling.

In danger of sounding like England.. They haven’t deserved to be this close in the series. We have our issues for sure but have been the best team by far after Perth and it has basically been 11 v 1. Positives are that maybe it brings change? But we love a late series fade after dominating most of it
I agree, if it wasn’t for the rain we would’ve won the Brisbane test. But much like the ashes, we would’ve lost that hadn’t it rained in Manchester. Everything comes full circle. If we can’t win this test then we simply didn’t deserve to win the series.

Pitch is doing heaps.

Who wins from here? I’ll go with Australia to bowl India out on day 3 and Australia’s batsmen to get the job done on a wicket better for batting than day 1.

Wasn’t in control of his body when he grassed it though. If that’s the rule then apply it to everything, otherwise change it back to something more logical
Can you show me an angle that shows the ball touching the ground?

Was no different to most of our catches in Melbourne.

He was looking like one of our best batters earlier this year. We'll find a way to fit him in IMO.

Green is a far better bowler.
Not sure how much he'll be bowling in the immediate future upon returning but he's still in our best XI as a batter I reckon.
