41 for a top 6 bat? That’s terrible lmao.

Permanent wicketkeeper batsmen in 147 years of Test cricket with averages over 40:

Ames, Leslie
Gilchrist, Adam
Pant, Rishabh
Rizwan, Mohammad
Prior, Matt
De Kock, Quinton
Flower, Andrew

He’s averaging more than Andrew Symonds, a fraction lower than Mark Waugh, Michael Slater among others, Marcus Trescothick, Andrew Strauss, Alec Stewart…..

And scores his runs at a hell of a lot better rate than any of them.

Worth of consideration.

I just reckon Richardson would've brought a bigger difference in his bowling vs Cummins / Boland / Webster.

Agree

We all know that Starc struggles at the SCG and he clearly wasn't right heading into this match

Just wish we had the guts to make tough calls more often

Pant you idiot. If he gets a big 100 they win the game. Why throw it away again. Maddening talent.

Game is 50-50 now I reckon. We need to keep the target under 200.

I reckon he probably didn't mean to get out.

Gilly hovered around the mid 50s didn't he until law of averages brought him back a bit? The 200 in SA in 2001 was insane amongst others. What a bloke to have come in at 7. The Ashes 57 baller is still one of my fav innings
