Barring Ames, I’ve seen all the rest.

The only ones that couldn’t hold a candle to Rishabh would be Prior and Rizwan. The rest he’s easily as good as, possibly not Flower. That bloke could seriously bat and would’ve played 100+ tests if he was born in the right country.

He well and truly deserves his place on the list.

Maybe nostalgia is all hitting us, but we were spoiled by the depth of batting during the golden generation (mid 90s - mid 2000s). Didnt know how good we had it. But then again it is a worldwide trend these days, averages generally down barring a few generational talents here or there.

Did they? I’d say the Aussies in that list - at least a few of whom I and many others regard as some seriously good players - got play against some of the weakest attacks I’ve ever seen.

If it’s so easy why isn’t everyone doing it?

Australia has 3 long term guys averaging over 40 and one of them is probably the second best batsmen Australia has had since Bradman. NZ has two, and one of them is their best ever batsman.

SA have 0.

England have 3, 1 of them has only played a dozen tests and the other just BARELY lobs over the 40 mark.

Pakistan have Rizwan and Babar along with two guys with a dozen tests under their belt.

Bangladesh and the West Indies have 0 between them.

Sri Lanka is the one team that has 4 players averaging over 40 but even they - in the strongest team they have fielded for over a decade - one of them has only been in the side for a year.
