Green’s days as a bowler may be seriously limited, he’s in for a bit

I think Hardie the more likely long term
All rounder now. That said he’s got his own injury concerns

Green will likely bat top 4 and not bowl.

Short term yes maybe but after 6 months no. Green is a much better bowler than Webster so I can't imagine we will pick them both at 5 and 6 (although I wouldn't be upset if we did).

He's a wonderful talent.
But he also lacks cricket IQ and doesn't have the best attitude which in early days it appears that konstas has the same problem. Fortunately Konstas is young enough that he could learn to change if he wants to
Sometimes guys just can’t do it any other way.

I’d give Konstas a chance of curbing his enthusiasm, Pant not so.

IMO the good outweighs the bad with Pant, but to concede your point he doesn’t have to go as randomly batshit as he does. He’s proven he actually does have a decent defence.

If pant was still in I'd say advantage India. 6 down is advantage Australia but not by that much. If these 2 can put on another 50-80 runs in the morning then India would be confident.

Aus won't be confident of chasing anything on this deck.
Only 2 days into the test match and India have already lost 16 wickets - I don't think they're in a strong position aside from the fact that it's very hard to see which (if any) aussie batsman will grab the game.

Captain Obvious here : Much will depend on whether Bumrah can bowl, and if so how much of a load.
Ponting was on the money when he said Australia had a decent chance at chasing 200 without Bumrah and 150 with him bowling. They did do well without him when he was gone today, but doing it from start to finish would still be tough.

Anything above 200 on this pitch is going to be difficult even without Bumrah.

This match is very difficult to predict.

Another Captain Obvious question: Will this deck be Headingley 2019 or Brisbane 2022?

Hopefully the former.
