Harry Brook V Sammy Konstas is going to be absolute main event in a years time.

Hope SK matures over the next year though. Needs to value his wicket more.

It’ll give me heart palpitations, but I’ll enjoy them

don't stress

most of Brooks centuries are on Pakistani Dustbowls - hopefully Boland eats him on our tracks.

After a quiet summer I think Lyon will make a spectacular return to form once England tour as he gets 25+ of the easiest wickets of his career when the Bazballers try to hit him into the stands every second ball.

Yes, I fully understand how that works.

But you said "highest score". Bradman and Taylor share that honour, not outs are irrelevant in that context.
No they don't. They are both 46 runs short.

By your logic if India made 5 runs in the first innings, Australia would not be ahead at that time if they ended up making 4 runs in their follow up innings. It doesn't work like that - the call was made after 1 innings, not after 2. Yet you gloated as if 180 was a good score all along. It really wasn't. India were 4 for 120 in their second innings but a combination of brilliant bowling and brain dead batting meant they collapsed for around 150 - it didn't mean it was a "150 pitch". Australia weren't ahead when Pant was in but they were by the time India's innings was finished.

As surprising as it is that someone doesn't understand the nuances of sport, there's no point being harsh about it. We live, we learn. You got real mouthy during the match but were whisper quiet by the end.
Their username is all you need to know the kind of person they are.

The thing with Konstas is you can see he's pretty solid in certain areas it's more the charging & stepping back and away to kitchen sink it from the get-go, he has the tools to go at a fair clip without worrying about that stuff too much IMO at least until he's really in and away. The ramps don't bother me because he's very good at it.

Yep, it's a bit of a clique.

Harder to be dropped than make it in the first instance.

Kind of like a boxer going on too long. Except this time it's selectors who can't or won't admit when someone's time is up.
Agree with this in general but not for Labuschagne. He's 30. Dropping him shouldn't mean it's all over. It can mean it's time to find some form of you want to keep your spot. Make them keep warning it. There's 6 batting spots for Australia, it should not be set and forget.

We all know why Binga prefers Hazlewood. He's from NSW. Their very best bowling again at eachother I'll take Boland. He can get wickets and look dangerous on absolute roads whereas Hazlewood needs conditions to favour him a bit more. He's also a cripple who can't get himself up for more than 2 tests in a row. Boland has to stay in the side and to me it's a no brainer. Hazlewood becomes the very good depth option. Roles reversed.
Both players are aging which to me is a concern.

About as funny as a kick to the nuts.

Don't necessarily disagree, but Labuschagne has been given 2 years to find form.

He still hasn't found it.

Kinda wish Head and Webster got to bat on, looked like those 2 were set for a big partnership

Webster would've immediately gotten out. He has a happy knack of getting runs when the team needs them, when he misses out it's when they don't.

Agree totally.

Thing is, it was always the plan to only have the "winner" up there.

Now I bloody well hope Sunny was told this ahead of time. Shit if not.

But if he was told, then why didn't he and AB tell the organisers that they were both going up. They hold enough clout to make that call surely.

Better to raise it then than afterwards when it looks a bit whiny.
If had a choice between having Gavaskar present me with the BGT and not having the thing at all, I happily see them chuck it in a creek.

England have hearts like peas, give up when going gets tough and are delusional
I expect them to throw the towel in like they always do out here
One thing is for sure, Australia will be absolutely prepared for test 1 of the Ashes, unlike this series just completed.
