Don't necessarily disagree, but Labuschagne has been given 2 years to find form.

He still hasn't found it.
I'm 100% in agreeance. Would much rather McSweeney have batted 3 than labs. Just saying in this case, labs being dropped doesn't necessarily mean the end for him. Would be hard to get back possibly but not out of the question

England have hearts like peas, give up when going gets tough and are delusional
I expect them to throw the towel in like they always do out here

Yes and no.

Their three most recent overseas tours have seen them win 4 tests from positions where they nearly had no right to win the match.

When they are absolutely out of the game they often just fold like a cheap serviette as highlighted in a couple of the losses in India and the third test in NZ.

Agree with this in general but not for Labuschagne. He's 30. Dropping him shouldn't mean it's all over. It can mean it's time to find some form of you want to keep your spot. Make them keep warning it. There's 6 batting spots for Australia, it should not be set and forget.
There should be a round of Shield matches starting in ten days.

One thing is for sure, Australia will be absolutely prepared for test 1 of the Ashes, unlike this series just completed.

Not based on some of Cummins comments today - to win the Ashes i believe we will need a battery of bowlers and rotate them accordingly which is going to be a big step change from where we are now

What an indictment on health funding in Australia that we have to crowd fund cancer nurses.
Like the Good Friday appeal that has people giving their already taxed money to a children’s ****ing hospital.

I’d probably be trying to protect my legacy at this point…

It's a compliment to Australia that he has to go back the best part of 7 years to reference the last time the Australian side stepped out of line on a cricket field. Kohli himself just needs to look back to the last two Tests for his most recent bits of poor behaviour. I've been fond of Kohli but there's no defending his conduct in the last 2 Tests.

Test cricket is still undefeated.

Awesome month of cricket, amazing scenes at the G, nothing like taking a dip in a mates pool over a few fronts watching a guy called slug hit back foot cover drives in 38 degree heat.

A bit of agro, a bit of clapback, villains, is good actually. Best series in Aus in my lifetime.

Over to you, England.

Top 25 test bowlers by bowling average since WW2, qualification 2000+ balls bowled.

Boland, Jansen and Jamisen right up there, you have to go a long way down to find the legends from the 90s/00s.

All this shows is how much of a great era it is to be a bowler.

Still issues, opener really both, the middle order has holes in it. Is starts body starting to fall apart with Hazlewood? Lyon did nothing this summer as well

Tbf Rashwin pulled the pin mid-series and neither Jadega or Washington fired a shot with the ball either. Sundars great 50 with the bat ultimately proved in vain as Oz took the test.

The pitches just advantaged the seamers by and large. Lyon did as well as could be expected and his 40 in Melbourne really counted.
