Nah it wasn't good from Kohli but McGrath , Warner and others would do simular. The mistake Kohli made was touching him, he should have just said 'shut your mouth muther ****er' like Bumrah did.
When did McGrath, Warner and "others" ever make deliberate physical contact with opposition players? Stop making things up just to satisfy your own bias.

Kontas had no right to say anything to Bumrah at all and was out of line, Jaiswal and Starc was pure competiveness of two elite cricketers competing.

So 19 tests now makes one an "elite cricketer"?

And surely at just 23 Jaiswal should be showing more respect to a 94 test veteran

Out of curiosity - how many test matches must one play before they have the right to talk back to the opposition?

The issue is he has played two tests and is still a kid and he has no respect for the game.

So is your argument that his behaviour would be acceptable if he were older and more experienced? Seems a weird argument.

Also, what has he done that demonstrates disrespect for the game?

Warne pretty famously did with Marlon Samuels, albeit it wasn’t a test match.

You can’t just grab someone’s shirt and start yelling at them in the face either.

Not really sure what it matters one way or the other

You need to earn your stripes before you start acting like a clown imo.
No you don't, everyone has the right to do whatever they want within the rules. If he can't back it up, then his career could become an embarrassing footnote, but if he does, he could have a long and successful career.

The mental gymnastics to get here are crazy.

Are you suggesting Jaiswal is out of line telling Starc to bowl faster? It was only going to help Starc anyway and there's no nastiness in it.

Telling Bumrah to go back to his mark , being a clown at short leg. Disrepecting India in general.
There's no way Cummins or anyone else in the team would act like that.

Warne grabbed Marlin Samuals and abused him, McGrath used to stand in the middle of the pitch and abuse Sri Lankans like Romesh Kaluwitharana and others when they hit him for 6.

There's context to the McGrath Sarwan one. Sarwan made a quip about McGrath's wife, not realising that she was dying of cancer at the time.

Because it was between Kwarja and Bumrah. Like I said, Border, Ponting and Mark Waugh said it wasn't his business to get involved.
You've lost the plot on this one.

Konstas said something along the lines of: "he's not ready mate" And you're outraged, but think that instead of shoulder bumping him Kohli should have abused him and told him to shut up, when he didn't say anything, except with the bat. And as a result of Konstass nothing comment, the best bowler in the world stepped away from his plan of getting through his over quickly to try to put him in his place with a bit of posturing. It's not Konstas's fault that Uzzy played back to a half volley and made it a dangerous ball.

Konstass sins were playing some unconventional shots to the new ball, being chatty at short leg and saying he's not ready. And you're lining him up ...

A 19 year old unsettled the best bowler in the world in his first innings in test cricket and then played up to the crowd and the Indian cricket team wanted to go him for it. There really wasn't anything more to it than that.

Yes very unpleasant, not one shoulder charge on a 19 y.o. Mcgrath should have known better but Sarwan sledged his wife who was battling breast cancer.
Virat Kohli went out of his way to physically assault a kid in his first test because he hit a couple of fours and sixes.

If you're good enough to be there in the first place then play on and if you dish it out expect it back, the only problem I really had was the Kohli physical content because that definitely isn't cricket. If Konstas wants to put a target on his back then let him, he's the one who'll have to good enough to wear it.
Exactly, its test cricket, but it is not a physical game and thats where sour old Virattled came up terribly short and forever tarnished his reputation and lost respect of the cricket world except for Indian fanboi simps.

Indeed which was understandable, though he probably shouldn’t have made a moderately homophobic slur to begin with.
Definitely not - by today's standards. We were the ugly Aussies - hostile, intimidating, arrogant and obnoxious really. With a bizarre sense that our line was the one true line and then would get uppity if other countries had a different line.

I don't think we're an ugly team anymore though. India on the other hand is heading in that direction.

I think if you make the first comment you have to be prepared for any response in retaliation.

Sarwan crossed the line with the comment but McGrath is equally in the wrong for saying what he did in the first place.

Interestingly you don't hear many people stand up for McGrath, He is up with Ian Healy as the most dislikable on field to have ever played for Australia.

My opinion only..

Not even Sunny is sticking up for Kohli

"What Kohli did with the shoulder bump is simply not cricket. Indians are not shy to retaliate if provoked, but here the provocation was simply not there".

Exactly, Provocation would be if Konstas attempted to smack Kholi in the head with the cricket bat and Kholi dodged and countered with a shoulder block in self-defence, then Kholi would be justified in doing so. All Konstas was doing was walking down the pitch, unstrapping and re-strapping the velcro on his gloves, have an in between overs consult with Ussie, and minding his own business.
