He plays the Tony Romo role well.Yep I like Punter on special comments. He talks about cricket. Compare that to the AFL guys who spend most of the time talking about themselves.

He's only there in the 5th bowler role. He still hits the bats alot hard than Marsh, which is where they should measure ball speed. More relevant.Webster doing ok but he’s a genuine trundler.
It's what made peak Hazelwood so effective too. Accuracy and discipline.Agreed.
I've been critical of Aussie selectors for a while. Seemed they'd always select 3-4 strike bowlers, and never a bowler capable of bowling defensively.
Glen McGrath is admired for his wicket taking, but he'd go obers hitting the same spot ball after ball, which would frustrate batters and in turn create wickets. Warne even said in an interview a lot of his wickets were due to McGrath locking down one end, so batters would go after him in frustration.
Defensive bowling is a powerful weapon with the write bowlers around you
Impressed with Webster’s bowling .. good action, good trajectory, accurate .. won’t force wickets at test level but looks like he could bowl dry for decent spells and keep batters honest esp in nibbly conditions. If his batting holds up could be a handy player..
I thought the first catch was the right call. Only has to touch a blade of grass to be not out and you could see it on the ground. Just don't think you could give it out.
Great session for Australia all the same. The pitch looks very tricky, doubt it goes to day five.
They usually work together with an expert. Unfortunately, there's so many sports there's not alot of choice. Guessing Tubby knew f all about diving but at least had a diving expert with him.Shit me during the olympics, having people commentate on events feigning they know all about it.
You didn't enjoy Matthew Pavlich on the equestrian?Shit me during the olympics, having people commentate on events feigning they know all about it.
How do the TV producers allow this tone deaf crap.Hame's talking about polo, show jumping and the Magic Millions which no one cares about apart from rich people and gamblers.
Hame to Mel McLaughlin "Do you own a horse?" like that was a regular thing for people to own like a dog or a cat.
Lawry and Boycott to open with Tavare at 3I'd go Pujara and Dravid if I needed the stonewall to save my life.
Australia undefeated in last 13 tests at the SCG
I love Punter as a commentator but he's just flat out wrong here. If the ball touches the ground and the catcher isn't in control of his movement then it's not out. Doesn't matter that it hasn't left his hand.
I don't like the rule, but it's what it is. Sure, there's doubt as to whether the ball did hit the ground, but if it did, then it's not out.
Nepo Baby writ large.Hame's talking about polo, show jumping and the Magic Millions which no one cares about apart from rich people and gamblers.

We should do an all-time top 6 stonewallers
Who'd be in the worst commentators XI?Hame's talking about polo, show jumping and the Magic Millions which no one cares about apart from rich people and gamblers.

Third umpire got it right . Smith wedged it wasnt in control while it touched grassClearly Wilson isn't smart enough to know Smith still need control of the ball to be able to flick the ball up like that with his finger or he is bias and isn't just a shit umpire.
Shit me during the olympics, having people commentate on events feigning they know all about it.
As a bowler - a Waugh or Chappell role. His record suggests he can be a genuine top order batsman - like average Joes, will need time to acclimatise and a bit of luck. He's only there in the 5th bowler role. He still hits the bats alot hard than Marsh, which is where they should measure ball speed. More relevant.
Listening to Gaze or Underwood comment on anything is enough to put a bullet through the eardrums. Thankfully don't hear much of them over the summer.Who'd be in the worst commentators XI?
