Because this century the likes of Hodge, Judd, Cousins, Ablett, Mitchell, Martin, Selwood, Voss, Pendlebury and Petracca have all been crucial parts of over 15 Premiership campaigns including plenty of crucial performances in GFs. There's a few I haven't named too.

The ones i named were all players who were elite in the midfield during flag winning seasons and any of them played important parts in teams that were considered "dynasties".

Obviously most sides down the bottom, with access to the best picks, see midfielders as the most important asset most of the time.

Given this tangential discussion about our decision to overlook Watson despite the importance of small forwards in the past two premiership teams, it's worth noting that the best small forward in those two teams was not drafted by that club. Charlie Cameron and Bobby Hill were both traded in. Perhaps rather than trying to capture lightning in a bottle at the draft, we should be ready to swoop the next time a Jack Ginnivan type becomes available.

I would have loved Gini. He won Collingwood some finals in 2023 off his own determination to win the contest. They wouldn't have won that flag (or made that GF) without him.

Tarryn's own behaviour meant that he was unavailable to play for us over the best part of two seasons across the three seasons where we paid him $750kpa. You're citing the straw that broke the camel's back as if it were the only straw there was.

Next time you whinge about the AFLW budget remember he was basically paid $1.5mil to sit on the sidelines when we needed him most.

I have unconfirmed suspicions that there was more to it than just the DV stuff especially in 2022.

North didn't give him an 18 week suspension. That was the AFL and it left us with no real options anyway.

BTW The stories I've heard off North supporters down here, dudes are far from what you'd call woke btw, about his treatment of women are pretty bad.

If this is any way shape or form criticism of giving that bum TT the ass its garbage, even in leaving collingwood ginni maintained respect, TT didnt even respect the club whilst he was on the list contracted!
