tbh he'd be a moron to sign now given that he still has until next year. With that said, I'm concerned that he's checked out due to his problematic performances during the pre-season and some of the horrible on-field efforts we're seeing. I don't blame him if he actually wants out, but we can't be carrying senior players who aren't fully committed just because they're talented. Those attitudes spread like cancer.

I'll go against the flow and say I reckon people are over-reacting.

He's contracted until the end of next year.

An early contract extension when he's down on form simply costs him money. His manager would be doing him a disservice if he accepted an extension now.

I reckon they're hoping he will play himself back into some good form and THEN that's when they'll seek a contract extension, maximising his renumeration.
So was corn frances

This. Finally someone with sense. He still has over a season and a half to play himself back into form. No rush for him at all.

I'm not looking into his body language either. It's clear he's frustrated as is everyone else, but that could be him pushing himself to be better and to do better as a senior leader.

Mate, if we lose LDU, it will set a precedent for the club losing wanted players.
I certainly don't want our talent bailing.

Same with Zurhaar. People are s**t canning his play, etc, but we simply can't afford to lose talent. He is playing as a HFF in simply the worst team we've seen.

Every talented player that leaves will be adding time onto our rebuild.

LDU is definitely not playing to his potential this season, but can you imagine our midfield without him? FFS, it would be a train wreck.

I disagree.

I think we have a stack of talent, especially around the ball, but no application, leadership and drive. Sadly this is LDU to a tee for mine. I think he’d be an unreal asset to a team who has all of these traits but maybe lack that edge. If he was at the cats they’d be unbeatable.

These MF want the east way . He and whoever else wants to go CGAGF .

My biggest issue with LDU is he's too nice. Does not have the killer instinct in him to punish opposition. He might get on the odd loose ball and show some skills, but he has lost the desire and want.

It is what will stop him from being amongst the best ever. It's up to him.

At this point, I couldn't give two shits whether he feels like he wants to be at North or not. But as soon as you cross that white line, you leave nothing out there.

The young players are always looking like they went to Palestine and came back, our senior players look like they went on a holiday.

Onya LDU.

When people draw attention to LDU’s low win/loss ratio they forget to mention that this bloke has not played for a significant portion of his time since being drafted by North due to injuries.

Out of a possible 144 games, his played 74….which means his missed approximately 50% of games due to injuries (mostly)…His top 5 draft peers have mostly averaged over 100 games…

Of the 6.5 yers this blokes been on the list, his played for about 3 years and 2 months…

Observations…..

- Gets torched 100% of the time by his direct midfield opponent if he doesnt get his hands on the ball

- Defensively woeful everywhere…especially in the middle.

- His ability to score or god forbid be invovled in a passage of play that assists in a score is beyond impossible.

- For a bloke who is almost 190cm, absolute no ability to take a mark over his head….

Teams have figured out that they are happy to give LDU 26 disposals a game with zero negative consequences due to the above difficiencies and use his direct opponent as almost a spare to nulify the entire midfeld……

We want to see more 25 disposals and 10 tackles and 5 mark games…..

Not 25 disposals, 2 tackles and 1 mark games that his been dishing up…

If he starts putting his body on the line and commits to realising his potential then LDU will dictate the direction of the football club.

Not the other way around.
Well bloody said!

These blokes are the ones who can turn it around, so stop looking for someone else to do it!

As long as you're happy with a revolving door at the club.
Who's the next player to crack the shits from losing/coaching turnover/zero leadership to leave after 80 games?

No one gave a **** about his leadership and drive when getting 35 possies, 12 clearances, 12 i50s and a snag or two. The whole team is in a massive rut, and if you think punting LDU for picks will help, then more power to you...

He's averaging 27 disposals and 6 clearances with no application or drive, let's hope the club can right the ship so we can see him at his best once again...

Doesn’t kick enough goals for a midfielder. Lacks confidence. There was a play on Sunday right in front of us 1st quarter. Running into goal 30M out slight angle , no one in front of him . Chose to centre it to nothing really instead of backing himself for an easy run in goal . Would have put us 2-3 goals in front fist quarter with a good start . Instead it was directly turned over run almost all the way for a hawthorn goal … classic north momentum killer at its best …

I’ve been a huge fan of him, never forget the day he was drafted and I nearly had an aneurysm in my car listening to his name being called out on the wireless as he was tipped to go top 2.

He’s had some incredible games where the Judd comparisons came to be but since Cunners took the backward step and the midfield was put onto LDU’s shoulders his defensive side has been exposed massively.

I’ve harped on about his half arsed attempts at chasing his midfield opponents before giving up on a few occasions and I’m glad others are seeing it now too.

The midfield is getting cut to shreds and as the big body marquee player he needs to set the example as the rest are babies.

I have no doubt he will fly at St Kilda and good luck to him, but we need to be chasing a deal that ties in a Veteran like a Clayton Oliver or Hugh McLuggage type and if we take the 6’3 midfield kid as our first pick then the vet can work with him, Colby, George and Sheez on two-way running to bring them through as the future of the club.

I have zero ill feeling towards guys like LDU and Bull if they want out as they have seen the worst period of our club ever, so we need to push forward and get the new batch of committed players to focus on the next chapter to make us succeed again.

I don’t want picks at all, I’d rather bring in a group of proper senior players.

I’m not hoisting the flag at half mast for a player who has led our midfield to no success whatsoever.

Pisses me of campaigners like LDU and Zuhar want to leave . For me they can **** off like Mackay . All overrated. Some of us poor idiots pay good money for membership to pay these ****ers wages . Then they **** off when it’s hard . Yeah we haven’t been winning but the supporters are a loyal bunch who do say hey North isn’t winning I think I’ll support ****ing GWS . Players like these 3 pussies are To blame just . If they will leave and give their all to another team but decided to check out at the team who drafted them I say **** you and I hope your career is shit and you get poleaxed If you think you’re too good for North GOOOO AWAY !
