The acting sergeant was more senior who should have been firmer but it sounds like this bloke just got trigger happy and fired. Is an Acting Seargant more senior than a Senior Constable?
'What Senior Constable Kristian White allegedly said before Tasering 95yo Clare Nowland'
;May 25, 2023 - 8:11PM;
'The police officer charged with assaulting a 95-year-old great-grandmother allegedly said “No, bugger it”
...
'It is understood the female acting sergeant who was with him will not be charged, but may face disciplinary action for possibly failing to de-escalate the situation.
...
Ambulance officers also attended the scene and were attempting to persuade Ms Nowland to hand over the knife when she slowly got to her feet. Senior Constable White put on slash-proof gloves.
...
The female officer is understood to have said: “I can take it (the knife) off her.”
Sen Const White then allegedly sparked the Taser in warning as Ms Nowland raised her right hand with the knife still in it.
Police believe that, exasperated, Sen Const White then allegedly said “No, bugger it,” and fired the Taser, shocking Ms Nowland, who fell backwards, hitting her head and fracturing her skull.
The officer then said: “Got her, grab it.”
...'
THIS.... he is far too fat and unfit to be a cop influenced his decision not to try and take the knife and instead get trigger happy.

White's senior has already put on slash-proof gloves acting in preparation and stated a confidence in taking the knife off Nowland, White has gone straight over the top of her in an act of gross insubordination and verbalised it with 'No, bugger it.'
Then tried to take over and making a hero out of himself as if he was the one who successfully handled the situation and told his senior to then grab the knife.
Who else this idiot has bullied and victimised over the course of his career could be examined.
What will he be charged with Kurve ? Manslaughter. I’d imagine he gets jail if so .

Dunno ... I can't imagine there won't be an upgrade in charges if it looks complicated and I don't think we've got a formal cause of death yet.
I missed this when it was first published, out of the Daily Fail but they do refer to taking their information from an earlier 2020 ABC report on White's history.
A senior constable who allegedly Tasered a frail great-grandmother once unlawfully detained a motorcyclist, with his shift partner allegedly threatening to break the man's legs, a report has claimed.
She was scathing of the officers and described their conduct as 'outrageous', according to an ABC report from the time.
'I'm horrified by the conduct of these officers,' Magistrate Boss said.
NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb was grilled about the previous incident involving Senior Constable White by Today show host Karl Stefanovic on Tuesday.
'Part of this investigation around the Mrs Nowland matter will take into account the officer's history,' she said.
'As I said it will be a very complete full investigation. An urgent review into that officer's history and his current work status.'
Shocking new details emerge about the cop who Tasered a granny

NSW Police have tased a 95 year old with dementia holding a kitchen knife in a care home, leaving her with a fractured skull and not expected to make it. It's making international press.
Not trying to excuse him, but could she have been a risk to use the knife on herself (either purposely or accidently) and the officer saw the taser as the lesser of two evils? Obviously didn't work out well if that was the intention.
Fair point Matty but I think disarming her in many different ways could and should have been the priority. Not tasered .

And not even relevant to the fact that White disregarded and went against his superior, where did that come from?
